You are correct, and anyone who can drop it should. Like I said there was a noticeable increase in weight loss when I would drop it and the few times I'd rebound back up 5-10 pounds was because I stopped watching my intake on soda. That said, as long as you treat it as an indulgence a la dessert as opposed to your primary drink of choice, it's easy enough to manage even while actively losing weight. At least in my experience. Though I'm speaking specifically in the context of someone doing both intermittent fasting and at least a moderate exercise schedule (by which I mean I run up and down my stairs 150 times a day and then do yoga stretches :maybe )
