I beat D/P with just over leveled Empoleon and lvl 50 Mesprit. The exp in that game is nuts. By gym 8 Empoleon was level 72. In gen 3 spamming a starter gets you like, level 53 lol.

I'm surprised you swept him with a defense boosting move. Esp if you weren't over levelled. Though his party in D/P is pretty average power wise. If it was platinum though I'm suitably impressed.

I liked Megas, they just did what they always do and gave them to popular Pokemon rather than use them as a balancing tool to make irrelevant Pokemon better. Like all the generations have their own sort of stat spread and gen 1 tended to be more well rounded with each generation creeping up the stat totals and making stats more specialized. 130-150 on any individual stat used to be reserved for top tier legendaries and now basically any old Pokemon has 130 in at least one stat. Older Pokemon needed that same boon to keep up.

Unlikely. That's Pokemon, Kingdom Hearts, Dragonball, Naruto,... to a lesser degree Assassins Creed. Their new iterations are all dumpster fires. All series I once enjoyed but can now only enjoy the older versions. Speaking of... I'm going to continue my DBZ rewatch, just hit the early buu saga.

I'm quite different. I found Hoenn to be a tedious region, I liked the Pokemon but nothing else about the game. Gen 2 was a fav, 4 too, 6 was fine for me, nothing beyond that. ORAS is much better to me than R/S/E. I just hate the muted color palette and the trumpet music didn't do it for me. But ORAS had better color and made Hoenn more interesting. I appreciate gen 5's story but the region is mediocre and while I have many of my beloved Pokemon originating in Gen 5 the starters designs bored me to tears, I despise them except for Serperior and that's mostly for its viable meta niche. Gen 5 designs for me were really hit and miss and the starters especially left me sour on the whole thing, Should play 'em on emulator again with a different Pokemon as the starter.

All the people and devs to outsource to and they don't give it to Miyamoto and the Zelda team. Should be like, hey you guys took Zelda to the next level, do that for Pokemon please.

:skully What a piece of shit set of games as I knew they would be. Literal amateurs make better Pokemon games than this EVERY day. Game Freak is the saddest, most pathetic group of high profile "developers" on this fucking earth. It's criminal that these insipid little morons keep the license to Pokemon. Every release they find a way to kick their once fairly decent reputation into the ground. All they had to do was keep doing the same thing, the same way, and they couldn't even manage that. You had ONE job GF. :lul Doesn't help that their art style is absolutely horrendous either. Boggles the mind that some kid or 30 year old with like 5 people can demake 100's of Pokemon into quality animated 2D sprites but that's too much work for bicc boi GF. This company has become a joke.
