It's sad that they made Stallone take his helmet off for most of the movie and were not accurate to his character because if written better he could have made a good Dredd. At least we got Karl Urban's utterly badass interpretation of the character later.

Oh trust me I vastly prefer Dredd over the 95 movie, I just think that the older movie had some enjoyable parts to it even if it was more for comedy than being taken seriously. Yeah it's hilarious but in the good kind of way that makes it memorable, only he can scream this line with complete seriousness without laughing. :hestonpls

Personally, I found Armand Assante's hammy acting as Rico made the movie for me.
