i think the meteors Jolyne stopped being subsonic may have been their dumbest argument though because Araki goes into great detail about how the meteors work and the average speed for meteors that maintain their contrails is like mach 23 (i think calcs have even gotten her into the mach 400 range based on how she handled them) but they insisted they were actually slower than sound and also that “jolyne had trouble with bullets earlier”
