Yeah killing cp night 1 probably wasn’t the best play. Tbf ultra had locked in killing you for majority of night 1 and I couldn’t really get him to change his mind, then at the end I pointed out it 100% clears magic if we kill you cos he’s NEVER killing you N1, and ultra wanted to push him D2. CP just seemed like a good bet because he was pushing Richard and we thought he might flip soon and wouldn’t be protected etc. I was up for killing a rando but then I went thru the list and there really was nobody that stuck out. Luckily we had skybox to get us used to this stuff You think of like why would a person be doing this from a scum pov? Especially if that player is a weak scum player that tends to get caught early. Like lethal as scum isn’t gonna come out swinging at high profile players, he just isn’t. Because there’s a good chance the one he swings at will put him in the ground and he’s aware of that. You gotta remember that people that don’t really care about the game are more often than not town, because by the nature of it being scum requires a deeper level of engagement. Ofc that’s not always gonna be true but as a generality it is. And people doing stupid shit or presenting terrible logic or even misrepresenting stuff can quite easily be townies and probably is more often than not. It’s why your “these guys need to town their ass off and show me some effort” way of solving is going to fail you 90% of the time. I find it way easier to clear people based on stupid shit than I do to clear...

Yeah I thought we did it really well, I was able to pivot to a townread by drawing on our experience in flowers game, and he never boxed himself in to actually have to lynch me. Also I don’t mind being dirtied as I tend to die in the first half of games when I’m scum anyway so don’t really focus on living to the end, so I was fairly made up he came out the gate like that without us even being able to communicate
