Red 13 is a weird case as far as use goes. The dude starts off with a bang then he ends with a whimper with average at best limits and weapons. I love the dude as a character but still. Vincent telling Hojo that he should have been the one in that coffin instead of him is one of his best moments. Lucrecia is still a bitch not worth even a bit of his sympathy though :skully. Yeah the balancing is pretty good in the remake by comparison. It was pretty amusing to me that Tifa went from one of the worst characters in og ff7 to probably the best because of how she can increase the stagger multiplier. Shit does insane damage once you get the hang of it:lit.

Never cared for them story wise or for gameplay. Cause if it's just gameplay then it's because they've got good weapons and some of the best limits in the game. Yuffie's conformer is straight up broken.

Oh and screw Square for the potential of having Vincent when you're up against the materia keeper. Shits always a coin flip on whether he stops healing the damn thing or not :mjlol .

I only bring him out occasionally for aesthetic purposes. Or for the Hojo fight. Or for bullshitting the game with overflow glitch. Then again Barret can do that shit and his limits don't suck so :skully . It's funny really, his ultimate weapon sucks but sorta doesn't suck at the same time but it's dependent on whether you care about killing shitloads of enemies with death penalty or alternatively using sniper cr plus deathblow. Otherwise dude sits on the bench with Tifa and Cait Sith and I guess Red 13 since he's largely mediocre at best late game:mjlol.

I can't forgive Vincent for his shit limit breaks in og ff7. Sorry bros :wow . I can even occasionally find some use for Cait Sith sometimes but there's no fixing Vince :catcry. Niggas Ultimate weapon isn't even that good without a bunch of shit that would be better spent doing anything else:catcry. I mainly like his backstory and character though. Certain shit is just funny though. Lucrecia is for the streets and getting cucked by Hojo is a sin that can never be cleansed. Vincent should be atoning for that instead of Lucrecia :mjlol.

Yeah that's about what I got from it. The Lifestream just keeps the planet and everything else around it going. Stars and shit are a portion of it's power to maintain life. Pretty sure that's how it worked in the original. Now all the timeline, alt universes and dimension shit on the other hand is a bit flimsy. Shits potentially connected to the void/interdimensional rift or whatever now:mjlol.

So there's certain things that I just noticed reading the guidebook again. Clouds ability as an "ex-soldier" is stated to be so strong that he can cleave space time with a simple sword swing. I assume they're talking about cross slash there given the picture. Also Barret's gun arm is in fact limit less in ammunition. Not exactly surprising but still.

Wait hold up Barret got short changed on arm cannons. Barret just gets infinite bullets meanwhile Dyne gets not only bullets but the ability to be Magneto :skully ? I'll just assume that's a limit break or something cause that's kinda crazy if it's just a function of his arm cannon.

Looking back at it just looks like some technology stuff from his arm cannon. He conjured all the junk around him to form that thing. I mean not really. Most of the Jenova Cell bullshit is also largely her fault, Vincent's simping be damned. Sephiroth considers Jenova his mom in the sense that he has her cells and her legacy of screwing over other planets gives him a higher sense of purpose that makes him above humanity and gives him justification for destroying everything for the sake of his newfound god complex. Lucrecia being with the absolute Giga chad Hojo is pretty important and that's not counting all the Omega/Chaos shit that is guaranteed to come up in the remake one way or the other.

Honestly at this point Shinra may as well just cause brainrot Mako or otherwise. Shera and Reeve are the exceptions just for having moderate amounts of common sense :skully.

Zack's been hitting too much of the Mako juice mentioning SOLDIER in that fight with Sephiroth. Just saying :skully. Tbf he did want Shinra dead if I recall. But it went beyond that cause he's gotten so tramautised that he pretty much wants to kill everything including Marlene. Which for obvious reasons Barret wasn't going to let happen. It isn't just that honestly. I'd like to expect that supposed genius pilot and aeronautics engineer Cid Highwind would actually work with his subordinate to check for any problems. Yeah I'd be upset that my dreams got shattered but simple logic could have changed everything. No one even bothered checking that thing during the huge materia shit either :mjlol. Yeah I just don't see any point for him knowing Aerith's mom. He doesn't even show up in that ff7 novel focusing on Aerith's background from what I remember either. I mean they tried in Dirge and unintentionally made her look like an even bigger asshole to the point that it's kinda funny...

I don't recall them mentioning Dyne going insane because Jenova cells. I plan on rewatching the thing though. Shera shit is whatever if only because that whole thing in the original was peak dumbassary on every level. Them making Cid overly nice, hapily flying everyone around and knowing Aerith's mom and shit bothered me more. Everything involving Lucrecia is hilarious as shit. I don't even like Vincent like that but the dude deserved better than some lady leading him on and getting with the scientist version of Satan partly out of spite :mjlol.
