That's good news then as that kinda mirrors the progression from the original game. Which is the correct thing to do when making remakes. Add shit instead of taking things away while maintaining the spirit of the original. It's why the original Re-remake is always gonna be one of my fav entries. It enhanced the atmosphere of the original while adding new mechanics to be engaged in.

Felt 3 was a huge disappointment tbh. Like you said skipping clock tower was dumb, because the game is just far to linear/on rails which makes for a very limited experience. With 2 they had enough options to do things differently during each of the 4 routes you could choose from. In 3 you'll do the exact same thing every time you play it with super minor variation. (not counting using things like the bonus items ect after completing the game). This becomes especially apparently when you replay the game a lot, like when speedrunning. They thought they'd pad out the games lifespan with that multiplayer nonsense people played for like a week and forgot about. The best part about 3 was the model they got to play Jill and the visual updates which are great. As much as I'm still salty about them remaking 4 before Veronica the trailers for it are actually starting to get me excited for the game since it doesn't just seem like a visual update but an overhaul of game mechanics. Hopefully...
