Lightning Returns Lightning would obviously be a Divine Spirit Servant and would be gimped on some level so it wouldn't matter... and no Servant is straight forward. Remember that even Artoria's "straight-forward" skills include not just being able to see into the future, but see the best path forward entirely, Lancelot can turn anything he touches into a Noble Phantasm and how to turn best use it to kill among other things. Saber's aren't really more straight forward in terms of skills, just more straight forward in being able to kick peoples' asses.

Ryu would be truly hilarious as a Servant due to the many fashions he can just turn into various Dragons as a living person as is.
