The Promised Land is meant to actually just be metaphorical and not really a physical place. The Promised Land is meant to be where you believe you should be, whether you belong there or you deserve to be there. Shinra and Sephiroth believed it was somewhere attainable but that's not the case.

That's where it should be but placing it where "It would only rob the Star of it's energy" hilariously makes it weaker than it should be by Remake/Rebirth's own statements of how Multiverse Theory works and the Whispers apparently being tied to the Lifestream. In the original, The Lifestream was the reason for why things even existed and further makes sense with things like Materia, WEAPONs and so on and so forth and fit with how strong Meteor and Holy is. Kinda feels like it's somehow both a step up and a massive step down at the same time.

That last one unironically weakens the Lifestream considering it ultimately doesn't work with the fact that Sephiroth ultimately wants to absorb it yet at his full power, Super Nova, isn't enough to do enough damage to summon all of the Lifestream into one place like Meteor can. It also doesn't make sense if we are taking the fact that the connection to multiple timelines is connected to Earth which makes less sense The Lifestream is weakened to it being connected to the Star.

It's weird because Lucrecia herself isn't worthless, the problem is that they expanded on her one off appearance of being Sephiroth's mother who loved Vincent but basically backstabbed him and ran like a bitch when Hojo betrayed her and sealed herself away... into being absolutely unlikeable in most cases to the point you fully believe she and Hojo deserve each other. So basically, she isn't a worthless character in a vacuum but a worthless character in the grand scheme of things that they try and make very important for Vincent's development post FFVII.

Yeah, I looked through it and that's not there but they did pussify him real bad by basically having him just want to kill Shinra at any and all costs and even treats Barret like a friend till he sees Cloud but that still comes off very shit compared to his original take where he turned utterly psychopathic after what he went through. The Shera shit was stupid as fuck and I won't deny that(Primarily because it really didn't matter compare to Cid's wish of going to space which he did get fulfilled) but removing alot of Cid's hostility and basically turning him into KH Cid is just too much. Having him know Aerith's mother just shrinks the world of FFVII even moreso(I guess we can't have someone just be in the party without any affiliation with the cast anymore, especially as Yuffie knew Zack since Crisis Core...) It is but I can guarantee they will either make the Lucrecia shit even more retarded in an attempt to not make her such a fucking tool... Like it was never a good idea...

It makes perfect sense considering Dyne was supposed to be the worst case possible for Barret(It's why they not only have nearly matching clothes but their gun arms are on different arms) whose only not as psychopathic as Dyne is due to Marlene... But considering they pussified the shit out of Barret, it makes perfect sense they would have to change Dyne too since the dynamic would be absolute shit. EDIT: I can guarantee that they will change why and how Lucrecia even went with Hojo's stupid schemes either because: A) They really want to make Lucrecia a "good girl" rather than the moronic dumbass who ran away from the shit she pulled B) They go all in and make her as evil as Hojo is but got the short end of the stick to try and make Vincent not look as stupid(but make him look even worse in the process). Like all of these changes are shit and the more I hear about them, the worse the "Trilogy" comes off to me.

Bruh, what the fuck?! You might as well have Dyne not even be there if you basically remove all of his tendencies just to make him insane because of JENOVA Cells(Seriously, what the hell is so wrong about Dyne becoming a massive nihilist who wants to kill everyone due to how fucked up his life ended up, even his own daughter along the way? Like sure, he kills himself in the original game but it was BECAUSE he realized there was no way in hell he would want Marlene to see him as a father after the shit he's done). And I already heard about the Cid shit, that's just ridiculous when that was the whole point of his character development(He shat on Shera only BECAUSE he believed she fucked everything up for him only to find out later on she was exactly right when he was about to die for it).

It really goes with the pussification the party goes through with the "Remake": First, they don't even destroy the Sector 7 Reactor and Shinra has to do it for them because they must be unequivocal good guys(Even though you still have Barret gloat about it and even have President Shinra make remarks that mirror how the world is post FFVII) even when you have them basically threaten Don Corneo mercilessly while he's helpless. And now this? It's seriously gonna make Reeve taking Barret to task if it ever happens so toothless because ultimately, they are the good guys meanwhile, you will have to explain why they don't off Reno and Rude for the Plate Fall(Even if they hate it which I feel doesn't really work... it's just trying too hard to make them not be corporate assassins which they are).

We going full Nasuverse Earth LMFAO! And Final Fantasy VII Gaia was already very goddamned close to Nasuverse Earth as is(Which is funny as FFVII came before F/SN but probably the same time with Tsukihime).
