Having given it some thought I think I'm retracting my town read on Magic to be honest, I don't actively scum read him but I'm being too generous and he has seen this work before in the past.

You haven't even asked me to interact with you. You dropped a vote on me with no reasoning behind it whatsoever. Do you want me to come begging, pleading, "please, Polar, please don't vote for me, I'll do anything!"? Because I really don't give a shit.
 
As far as Cubey goes I kinda feel like scum would be doing a bit more to help him out here - they're effectively conceding him when they don't really need to and he certainly isn't helping himself. Feel like we're walking into his lynch. I want to pivot but I don't have any great direction to pivot too.

while it would normally be somewhat suspicious that Rej is getting piled on so quickly, everyone who voted him is someone I'm liking, so why not give this a little more traction

Idk what to say. I have a mafia burn out and I could need some leeway for one or two days. I am not fully into the game to provide good reads. I am just idling and waiting for a better day. You guys can lynch me but imho another lynch could give you guys more info.

Ah, that's some good timing.

Basically Rej this ain't it, you could probably claim or something if this is going to be your defence. Appealing to info isn't really significant to me - we have a slew of inactives so we're not really in a position to gamble heavy for "info" rather than going for a good shot to be scum. I think you've been lurking along and hoped to slip under the radar, hence why you show up now once a wagon builds on you and point fingers elsewhere.

Nu uh, you're leading him to an answer here. By explicitly focusing on the early on part, you give him less to defend his side with, because you easily demonstrate that my play wasn't obviously townie from the early parts of the day. You're not giving him room to flesh out his stance - he could be sheeping to generate a read, or he has a gut read that he wants to see followed through. Crucially, if he is scum, your question does nothing to put him to the test - you're giving him the argument he needs to adjust his position as and when he sees fit.
