At some point, we have to acknowledge that the developers wanted us to respect the Greybeards. For this reason, I think the Dragonborn’s official recognition is a very relevant feat. There were obviously no, “mountain-level,” attacks being tossed around, but the Dragonborn survives being spoken to by four Greybeards at once. The halls of the building tremble, the province shakes. The game even goes as far as to render a unique postprocessing effect to indicate the presence of some sort of force. While the specific details of said power remain mysterious, the Dragonborn is clearly supposed to be stronger than an average human being. Well, that is one interpretation of the scene. I have recently spoken with @Heliostorm regarding the nature of this particular event, and he offered that what is being demonstrated is not necessarily the Dragonborn’s physical durability so much as a form of resistance to tonal magic. For instance, people with a powerful Thu’um can inherently resist others’ shouts. I cannot deny that this is easy to envision, and somewhat supported by the Greybeards’ ability to, “taste,” of a foreign Voice.
