Gandalf explicitly CAN'T contend with the will of Sauron, that's why he refuses to take the ring when Frodo offers it to him, because he KNOWS he WILL succumb to it. Never mind the fact that I seriously doubt Salem's willpower is remotely near that of Gandalf's.Sauron (Lord of the Rings) vs Salem (RWBY)
I feel that Salem is not going to succumb to the will of Sauron: she is as evil and demented as him and powerful enough to destroy an entire castle as a result of a fight. If Gandalf could do it, I feel she probably could do it as well. And about the tactic of Sauron becoming her advisor and...forums.spacebattles.com
She ain't even gonna contend with Saruman's will, nevermind the Dark Lord himself.Seriously, Salem lost her shit and went into a bitch fit because Emerald literally used an illusion on her...
And she's supposed to be Sauron's equal willpower wise? Hell, it's not even the first time Salem lost her temper like the spoiled princess she is...
What about Necrozma? Or Eternatus?
Did they remove them too or?
eternatus also has infinite energy in the games anyways lol
>they also forgot victini and its ability to give infinite energy
Like I question how much of these games they've actually played because, while they and their master are still the top of the ladder, the creation trio and Arceus are pretty far from being the only heavy hitters in Pokemon anymore. What about Necrozma? Or Eternatus?
Did they remove them too or?
I didn't manage to find a video of the feat of the castle, but I found a calc about its size and I do have to note that weaker people in the setting have shown more destructive feats. She also has other stuff like tk-crushing a flying monster. And in terms of mental defense, the closest thing that she has is remaining more or less sane for millennia after being infused in the pools of destruction, that seemingly gave her an urge of destruction that she did not unleash until, from her point of view, the love of her life betray her.
Of course, as mentioned, the main advantage of Salem is that she can't tire or be killed. She can even come back from being reduced to dust and in a battle between the two, even if Sauron has the advantage, Salem can just wear him down until he loses.
Salem has not been human for a long time: she has more in common with the grimm, soulless creatures made of living destruction.
But how is that going to help manipulate Salem? Sauron did that by exploiting the numenorean's arrogance and his status as a divine being to make them eventually adore and worship him. But Sauron doesn't have anything that could make Salem admire him: Given her poor relationship with the gods of the setting, at best she will not care about his divinity. She is also immortal and her goals are antithetical to that of Sauron: she doesn't care about order or control, she just wants to spite her former lover and the gods by making humanity destroy itself and ending her curse.
>warps space time with pure energy
I'm not sure that the ring has much to tempt Salem with to be honest. She's already absurdly powerful and doesn't really need more power.
Sauron being portrayed as this uber psychic also doesn't feel right. To control men he needed them to put on his rings that were connected to his Master Ring, to manipulate dwarves he had to make them wear his rings but they were too stubborn and it failed (though the rings did lead them to ruin).
Same with elves which failed even worse.
He is, or rather was skilled at manipulating people with words but so is Salem (she even orchestrated a Fall of Numeror style event just like he did) and she's been in the manipulation game just as long as he has.
Salem's personal combat skills are still at a scratching the surface stage, but there is every reason to assume that she's at least as powerful (and should be something more like 4x more powerful) as Cinder Fall, who can create ludicrously hot fireballs:
She's ambitious but she's also like the platonic ideal of spiteful defiance. If she realizes that the Ring is trying to fuck with her head she might just try to destroy it out of spite.
Celebi kinda just undoes that entire plan what with free time travel at willHonestly, ORT's best chance is to start small and eat the weakest Legendaries and hopes it can adapt fast enough before the stronger ones mulch him to pieces through sheer BS.
ORT is Multi-Galaxy so it gives it a fuckton of leeway... but that's about it.

Pokemon has such huge potential but ever since X/Y Gamefreak's just been... lazy, for lack of a better wordi wish swsh had better lore (and was just better in general) because Eternatus is probably my favorite legendary design since Kyurem
It gets even worse when you rememeber they are all immortal thanks to YveltalThat's why I never argued hax there because yeah, you end up with shit like Celebi or if you want to include Pseudo-Legendaries, the fucking Unown.
Says the person who continues to peddle outright lies about how Demon Slayer powers work, and then immediately left as soon as conclusive evidence was presented against your argument.
The facts demonstrate that Demon Slayer characters are, in fact, above where most people traditionally place them because of how relatively understated the speed dynamics are and the lack of flashy explosions or energy blasts (though Ufotable is trying its best to change that). It doesn’t mean that they can’t punch above their weight class to a degree with their speed and cutting power.
Now, that doesn’t mean that Muzan wins here (he doesn’t), but that he’s more impressive than people think is something that can be substantiated with a simple analysis of the feats demonstrated.
yeah idk if gf is overworked or what but the more they sell the more they seem to cut corners. i miss emeraldPokemon has such huge potential but ever since X/Y Gamefreak's just been... lazy, for lack of a better word
This nigga Sables seriously just typed that URAHARA of all characters "isn't too much for raw power".Byakuya pierced though bankai ichigo with an unmodified hado 4.
I assure you the type of attack matters and doesn't scale linearly in the way you think.
For Urahara's sake you better pray it doesn't. Base Bazz-B's BF1 can pierce Haschwalth with the same type of attack as Byakurai.
Meanwhile Urahara needed Quilge to be defenseless and vulnerable for his attack to take effect. Even earlier he stated the fight was too high-level for him to simply intervene.
Urahara isn't too much for raw power. In fact, Hado 99 might be his one chance at not dying instantly to the enemy..
i feel like they are overworked. More time needs to be spent between pokemon games to be getting some good qualityyeah idk if gf is overworked or what but the more they sell the more they seem to cut corners. i miss emerald
yeah ive heard they’re a small team comparatively speaking which is weird when Pokemon is the biggest franchise on earth which is driven in big part by the games developing its future as a wholei feel like they are overworked. More time needs to be spent between pokemon games to be getting some good quality
@Xhominid The Apex
the last thing ORT hears as Necrozma starts sucking the light out of the universe
