Not sure how that alone is a major deal against a Servant as you would need some real shit to effectively do anything to them in that fashion.
The bigger question would be how would Gustang counter their attempts at attacking HIS soul?

More than that, how are they going to damage him when he can use his pen to turn his body into pure energy (Shinsu) or wind?

I mean Illford and Edorad are on basically the same level, with Illford arguably being even stronger considering Renji admitted he might STILL have lost post-limiter removal, had the sheer power boost of it not caught Illford by surprise.

I always thought the HST hate was vastly over hated because they were popular.

One Piece popularity has massively skyrocketed in the last 3 years, and I'm not sure how to feel about it tbh.

it has definitely caused an i flux of…unusual individuals (I say this as someone who only started it in 2021)

Well okay if you think I'm still drawing too much of a broad stroke here, I'll gladly narrow it down even further:

Shonen Jump.

If that's still too much of a blanket generalization for you then:

Then the Battle Shonen series of WSJ.

Or in the words of SSJ3 Goku, I'll "go even further beyond":

The most currently mainstream ongoing battle shonen series of WSJ.

Either way:
You can't honestly tell me that current anime/manga have been constantly spammed and flooded by battle shonenshit the most for years especially here in the West.

And that at least half of battle shonenshit series that are popular right now are all derived from Shonen Jump.

And the fact that it's all I see here and they're practically the only thing everyone talks about, is primarily what keeps driving me away from anime/manga and pushing me towards the side of american comic characters, western animation, and even much of american/western media all too often.

Really? But I guess the only anime/manga series that can potentially top the HST's downfall mainly being other modern battle shonenslop series kinda makes sense.

And because of how they seem to overshadow most of everything else in terms of anime/manga advertising to this day

and their perceived stagnancy, repetitiveness, and overall lack of quality and lasting appeal compared to other iconic and popular anime/manga by those who aren't blindly eating them all up like a bunch of fat dudes at McDonald's, including the OBD in general.

Series like Bleach or JJK waffles too much while explaining abilities and doing nothing. Authors thinks they are smarter than general audience and make things complicated.

For me, it also peaked with Yu Yu Hakusho.


The only other battle shonen I ever consistently enjoyed and still remember more fondly than the rest in the genre were Shaman King, Ultimate Muscle, and the original Yu-Gi-Oh if the third one actually counts as one.

But yeah I agree, as much as I still think Dragon Ball is grossly overrated as a series for me, I still find the show to be more engaging or even more exciting to watch than most other Shonen Jump series and 99% of other battle shonen out there.
 
speaking of oda piece, i still like the anime way more now, cuz from the wano arc, toei uses the hd budget, all the fights from there till now, are something else, for example, gear 5 in the anime is way more hype, extra action scenes and all

even though i still prefer kubo time more, with the pros and cons we all know, current bleach is at its peak, thanks to the new anime, which is actually hd, and canon too

the thing about JJK is gege desperately wants to be like Togashi but he is only good at getting around halfway there and then it dawns on him that he wrote himself into a brick wall even though the lead up to said wall is usually very good.
