Youtube, Discord channels, Reddit, other social media seem to have eclipsed the forum scene for this hobby. He's making a statement that on its face is "true" but paired with everything else going on here it becomes clear what the real goal is, which is a lot of my issues with SB debating in general. "I can't suspend my disbelief enough to accept X series doing Y"
This might be a valid approach if there's sound reasoning (eg. in Jujutsu Kaisen, there's a planet level suicide attack but the community at large doesn;t accept anyone scaling to it because showings far lower than that outnumber it far too much. We can't accept it because the series kinda shits on that)

Okay yeah, I can't even joke anymore, they are about to fully downplay DB into the dirt at this point. Teacher's Pet Mods, Arcadia's stupid ass and others agreeing with him... we are about 2 steps away from them literally pulling Subsonic Naruto on DB as a whole.
That's always been Crossing's entire problem as a whole and why I state that he tends to be "2 steps away from a point". The issue as a concept what he's saying can be made into a point... the issue is that he's always 2 steps removed from that point making any goddamned sense in a meaningful fashion and thus just comes off as noise rather than it actually being a meaningful part of any debate.

While that's true, I don't think it will last long for the reasons I have stated and I feel people are ultimately realizing it themselves:
Reddit has the Upvote issue where Discussions are impossible to have because you can be buried in a few downvotes and anyone can say anything meaningful and get upvoted to shit
Youtube is equally awful for debates because Google themselves keep on fucking up Youtube to the point it's impossible to even tell WHEN YOU GOT MESSAGED to continue a debate nowandays.
Discord Channels are now adding FORUMS... I shouldn't need to say more.
The issue is that it's difficult to not only have easy info on hand, but even more difficult to save that info anywhere else and most social media sites are godawful for having meaningful discussions, being able to save data since a simple ban or shadowban is enough for that to be permanently lost and the very systems can curb debates maliciously.
It's easy to have small debates in those places, it's impossible have any real meaningful debates with those channels.
