Fiamma with his ceremony was able to influence the entire Tree of Sephiroth, i.e. the hierarchy of worlds (don't ask me how big it is, we have very little information, except one suspicious quote about infinite recursion).

Araki states the Hanged Man is Light itself, the show states that The Hanged Man is Light itself, nothing at all shows Polnareff struggled in any fashion to attack the Hanged Man once he understood how it worked.

If we have to buy that Stands are Subsonic because "lolbullets"(which Stands can still deal with machine guns casually), then that would mean they would have to be damn near tens of thousands of times of raw brainpower to be FTL... and their bodies would STILL HAVE TO BE FAST ENOUGH TO REACT AT THAT SPEED!

Yep it's not, it's why it's so infuriating if you are genuinely participating in it and actually know the source material inside and out:
You know they are lying, you can easily prove they are lying and yet they will double and triple down with the most retarded and hokey science ever that literally debunks their own argument... and people buy it, hook, line and sinker.

FF7 Materia means nothing? How? It's literally explained how it works but apparently it doesn't obey real life physics and makes no sense with "canon"(Let's ignore Zack faced off against an army and got shot to absolute shit and was still alive enough to give parting words to Cloud before he died and he literally faced off against against that army and reduced it down to 3 and remember Shinra's obscene technological advances) because we would then have to think about that yes, Bahamut Fury is a genuinely powerful summon and none of the characters was murked by it in Advent Children despite being out of shape...


This is not even getting into the genuine insanity at this point that has to do with their equally retarded double standards especially when it comes to shows like Bleach which the infamous meme of Bleach Statements, Bleach Feats still very, very much exists despite the anime for the final arc being out.

Ngl, I'd have to go looking for it.

That being said, I don't think Fiamma really scales to the full-powered manifestations of the archangels (at least universal), despite the hype in OT.

I think, at best, you could scale him above Gabriel's feat of removing all of the visible stars in the night sky thanks to this quote, but even that's kinda iffy since he doesn't really have explicit feats that match that.
 
At least they have other people than just me pushing back now lol. I probably wouldn't have gotten involved if that wasn't the case. The bullet train one just really confuses me because they're either lying or massively misremembering, and if it's a memory issue....why do multiple users keep repeating it year after year????

Guy responded and said that since humans' avg speed is 10km/h then Pucci's would be too....ok, that's fine and all, but you said Made in Heaven was train speed dawg, not Pucci initially lol
 
actually upon closer inspection, the Viz translation does more clearly tie Pucci's speed to Jotaro's analogy. So he actually wasn't wrong or lying, it just wasn't an accurate upper ceiling for Made in Heaven. Jotaro also uses a speed well below average adult running speed, so it still seems like he's just giving an example rather than saying "Pucci can only run 6pmh", so I did have that misunderstood but I think I wasn't wrong to not interpret it as a ceiling for the Stand users at least

Does it really matter anyway since that's Pucci's starting speed at the most when it comes to Made In Heaven? And even then, I doubt that's true as we explicitly see Pucci casually dodge the shit out of the revolver Emporio had despite being virtually pointblank and that is at the same level of speed, if not moreso than a Bullet Train.

EDIT: Made sure to check, even am 1836 tier revolver goes 270 meters per second while a Bullet Train only goes 270 MPH meaning Pucci would still need some good ass reactions to react to a more modern revolver shot at virtual pointblank multiple times.

I don't think it does, but it's good to understand at least why people are bringing it up and address it honestly. I had been misinterpreting what the guy meant. Due to the avg adult speed thing I do still take it as an analogy Jotaro was using not a concrete "ok he's X fast now!" and like you said, plenty of other feats in the same arc and prior would put Pucci and MiH at a faster relevant speed for fighting.
 
i dont really know jojo but from the sound of things this is so comically intricate and also concrete that any argument otherwise sounds like the most ridiculous cope ever devised
 
it's a great manga it just throws off hardliners because it's an extremely low power and scale setting with insanely high speed in comparison. If you're looking at fiction as characters must behave realistically then this sort of scaling ends up driving you crazy because characters will literally cut down a beam of light in one arc and still have to travel by camel in the next arc

Talking is free action is a hobby staple, because fiction is messy

Dramatic effect though? Broad labels without concrete definition are worthless to applicability because it can boil down to "I don't like this" being the core rationale.

Same could be cast at talking is free action, but that's wholly ubiquitous and looks stable across even many incongruous franchises to the point its notable when a story actively acknowledges and subverts it.
 
I'm not really seeing where the room is to argue 'dramatic effect' for the first confrontation anyways. It's pretty generally drawn to show Chariot's arm in motion, it's not just holding its sword still in a path predicted for the Hanged Man to move through.

Plus there's still the matter of the Sun having no caveats whatsoever and its beams being called rays of light, lasers, and behaving accordingly a dozen times.
