Circus of Humorous & Humiliating Arguments Part 5: Diamonds are fleeting. Stupid lasts forever

elder scrolls downplay? ok, it’s a lot of lore most people don’t know, I get where it comes from
big 2 Cape comic downplay? sure a million authors is gonna result in inconsistencies, I get where this comes from too
nobody cares about Transformers

even TTGL, it’s easy to gloss over the multiversal stuff in the show in favor of the big bang at the end

cant for the life of me understand how someone plays a series where every game is basically about God creating or destroying the universe in some fashion and comes out of it thinking “you know what? everyone involved here must actually just be threatening one city”

incredible minds at work

love arguments like those

all [x character] does is lose, except when they win in which case its illegitimate and thus doesn't count

and you can’t forget the classic “game mechanics mean they’re actually weak” an argument 20+ years strong
If FF Summons are so powerful, why has the world not been destroyed by them already?
Square literally gives an explanation for this in one of the games (FFVII)
Doesn't count, they just obviously aren't that strong and the characters are normal humans. :jordangif

instant death doesnt seem super useful against a series of games where every single main character can resurrect themselves endlessly
Yeah, Shalltear survived a TGOALID-enhanced death spell using a resurrected item when layering the said effect on a death spell allows it to ignore all in-verse resistances and even inflict death on non-living objects in Overlord.

Reviving is a perfectly valid way to bypass instant death in Overlord, though it should be true resurrection rather than regeneration or something.

thats exactly what it is in every Fromsoft game, Elden Ring being the most blatant because the actual concept of death was removed from the world
