tbh the mirror world thing is basically just Kakyoin's assertion, it's not like he's even met that many stand users at that point. It was probably a way for the trick to be revealed to be light reflecting.

It’s for Star Platinum, though interestingly people on Japanese forums argue that Star Platinum’s TS is a scientific based whereas Dio’s is conceptual/magical

huh, that’s really interesting, where’d you find these? I don’t think it really gels with the way it works in the story but it’s still fun to think about

The time stop duration of The World extended from about 5 seconds to 9 seconds with Joseph’s blood. Even after Jotaro fully matured, Star Platinum’s time stop maxes out at about 5 seconds, so there’s a big difference in how long they can stop time.

Star Platinum was explained in Part 6 to move faster than the speed of light, making everything around it appear slower—that’s the principle behind its time stop. But in DIO’s case, the exact principle isn’t explained, so the detailed difference in ability isn’t really known.

Some people theorize that while Jotaro stops time by accelerating himself (Star Platinum) to light speed, DIO is the opposite—he slows down the world around him and stops time by contrast. (Like achieving time stop by canceling out movement.)

However, there’s no official setting or confirmation for this, so it’s likely just fan speculation and shouldn’t be taken as canon.

@OtherGalaxy not sure if you’ve seen this one before, but in 2022 Araki said he tries to keep stands bound to physics, and in the same passage the interviewer said Stands “usually” can’t move faster than light

It’s just interesting to see how back and forth he goes regarding the speed of stands

I think this really exemplifies why I enjoy this manga so much. Even though it has these sort of ridiculous highs, you can see the ways he has come up with to “balance” it in his own way. Always keeps things fresh and new. Stands not always moving at their peak speeds could honestly explain away a lot of these arguments that have arisen among the fanbase too

The plan was to destroy both Blaze and Sonic world so they could create a Eggman land that is beyond dimensions

I know, that’s what I meant by “multiverse ending power source” before. The game directly tells us what the Power of the Stars can do to the universes
