Death Battle Discussion

Bens hyping up the 4thunknown episode that is a TOC mu as 'none of you have come close to guessing' mu
they've said that they're looking into how to fit characters that dont typically fit into the death battle format, especially now that theyre indie
hey basically all really want Dark Urge VS Darth Revan, they may as well confirm it'll happen within the next few years.

I hope Death Battle's take on Homer Simpson vs Peter Griffin would be more amusing and worthwhile than Cartoon Fight Club's take.

Ngl, most of the MU's in this line-up feels kinda underwhelming to me.

Am I the only who typically roots for the Japanese video game characters over the Shonen Anime/Manga characters most of the time.
This is actually the first time a character from Jojo has been up against a game character. Jotaro vs Kenshiro, Dio vs Alucard, and Jonathan vs Tanjiro were all anime/manga vs anime/manga.

Regardless though, I don't think people really view it as a Media vs Media thing to begin with. Rather just root for the character/series they like more and/or who they think would make more sense to win given their abilities.

True.

But in the OBD, I've seen a lot of these "Media vs Media" threads crop from time to time on some multiple occasions in the past myself.

It seems to me, that there are always more mainstream shonen anime/manga characters that we cheer and laugh when they lose to someone from another media in a DB than we do for video game characters (especially if they're from Japanese developers by and large).

I've seen people joke that Sportacus can beat Homelander, but it might legit be a blitz

He did this

Which is sub-relativistic and alone could one shot Homelander, though DB has him at town level(?)

However Sportacus in another scene showed he could move faster than the stuff he hits with a bat

So Sportacus low key has a chance if they highball him

He also has good durability

I made a Lazytown thread a couple years back and Galo mentioned he got 50 megatons for a feat where Robbie Rotten gets knocked to the moon, but idk where the calc is

They have him at city level because of Stillwell's off-handed comment about "no human weapons can hurt Homelander" and upscaled his durability from the Tzar bomb (50 megatons). Nevermind that Homelander was running scared from Soldier Boy's mini-nuke (which even a yield as small as that one carried sufficient nuclear fission and heat to "burn the formula from the supe's system" and render them powerless) so we KNOW for a fact Vought didn't somehow drop a nuke on him.
