i dont have scans on hand but it’s all over IDW, decepticons had shit like “red alchemy” where they would essentially just strap people to a machine that converted their blood and flesh into energon among other horrible things. Even when this Megatron reforms it still takes him a while to get that organic life is even life at all
@OtherGalaxy what's megatron kill count G1 specifically
Depends how you look at it, since most Megatrons aren’t super strong, his kill count is largely reflected by the wars he’s fought. In which case billions upon billions of people across countless planets in the galaxy, and near everyone who died in the great war are also attributed to him. He halved the population of Cybertron at one point in the battle of Simanzi. Probably more I’m forgetting

I see
So help me out here why peeps get bent outta shape when it comes to Megatron
I keep seeing peeps saying he mischaracterize or some shit or some noble demon etc especially with frieza
Like help me understand g1 megatron related

I watched English G1 years ago when I was like 15, Megatron was a stereotypically universally unlikeable villain with no real redeeming qualities. Galvatron is insane IIRC. There never was a situation where he is a noble demon in G1 at least in the cartoon.

G1 Megs AFAIK is essentially a TF supremacist and hates organic life (but will work with them in the cartoon if they’re useful)

He pretty much believes only his way will lead his people into the future and you’re either with him or against him

I’m not really sure where they are getting that from as…

what Maddie said here is very accurate for the cartoon, he is 100% an irredeemable despot in the cartoon and that’s the entire point. The g1 comics and especially IDW add more shades to it, he was an opressed member of a lower class who revolted and overthrew a corrupt ruling class only to become far worse. IDW just has him realize he’d become a monster and try to atone for it (which is basically impossible but that’s also part of the story)

You can sort of get the “noble” angle from IDW, but he’s still spent millions of years after the fact being robot Hitler before he comes to the conclusion he was wrong.

I think some people get that idea because he constantly spares Starcscream. But the main reason he does so is because he considers starscream more useful alive than dead

I always felt Soundwave would have make a better Decepticon leader. I am totally not biased by him being my favorite in both G1 and Aligned.

Now that I think about it, when's the last time we had two 3d matches in a row? Seems pretty rare from what I remember.
