Saber vs Aqua from Kingdom Hearts could also work (both are female sword fighters chosen wielders of powerful blades, were once part of a group of warriors and both were once corrupted by dark forces after watching their allies be consumed by darkness before being purified by the protagonist and allies connected to them).
Gilgamesh has a lot of characters he has in common with like Algol from Soul Calibur (both hero god kings that become corrupt and are antagonists in their respective series), Kuja from Final Fantasy IX (both created for a purpose who yet rebelled against their creators), Escanor from NNT (both absurdly powerful beings defined by pride), Sinbad from Magi (both wise kings born special who collect treasures which become their weapons and have committed questionable acts because of their love for humanity), and Yuuki Terumi from BlazBlue (both are egotistical asshole gods who's backstories and legends portray them, a lot more positive than what they actually are).
EMIYA vs Hakumen (both are future versions of protagonists summoned back to the past, have fought their past selves, have a history of servitude, and fight for/against royalty)
Aqua vs Saber is not even a thing in the community and most wouldn't vibe with it
Gilgamesh has Sinbad
Escanor has Gilgamesh

-Large Star level, Solar System level in Super Perfect (Was going to destroy the Solar System and I see no reason for modern DB to contest it)
-Dozens to hundreds of times FTL low end using Piccolo's Moon Feat, tens to thousands of times FTL if we go that Kaiosama could detect Goku's ship fly to Namek but not SSJ Goku/Freeza fighting
-Extreme survivability. Freeza, brutally dismembered from a backfired Kienzan and further brutalized by a point blank Kamehameha, withstood the full force of Namek violently exploding and was merely at death's door, not killed
-Cellular level Regen, even if thoroughly destroyed 1 cell is enough to come back entirely
-Zenkai, and if he regenerated on such a scale he comes back vastly stronger

1. I was saying what Death Battle would do. We know from Brulk that they will use feats or abilities from other canonocities as long as it doesn't contradict the character. Other canon for Cell would include him actually destroying the Solar System and guidebooks constantly saying he was going to.
2. Cell is Star Level at least given scaling from Freeza. I read the Cell Saga twice to read into Cell's character the best I could. He wasn't bluffing. He had absolutely no reason to. The only thing holding back SS level Cell is that Boo Saga in the manga not being too impressive which leads me to 3.
3. Going back to 1, Death Battle very likely uses/would use Dragon Ball Kai for feats when needed, which gives the Boo Saga the needed feats for SS level Cell to not seem so outlandish.
4. Considering even OBD has small star level 1st form Freeza (I.E Death Battle would too), and this is Death Battle who is casually throwing around thousands of times universal DC heralds, and they have stuff like sub-relativistic Roshi, solar system level Cell is not something that is too much of a stretch to them.

what annoys me is it takes more hurdles and hoops to assume Cell isn't solar system level due to bluffing/lying than to accept SS Cell or at least go for the middle ground and argue for Star level Cell due to insufficient feats later on in the Boo Saga. The Cell Saga is over. I hope God is merciful enough to not do Fukatsu no C, so it's a closed book that DBS has added nothing new to overtly contradict. Large planet level/small star level Cell feels like purely a 10 years-outdated reactionary posture due to outlandish DBZ wank from 12 year olds from the time, nothing else.And before the next arc in the shitty Super fanfiction manga ends up involving Cell coming back.
