I mean, considering its a random fight in the beginning of the season, it may very well just be Thor styling and redeeming Marvel.

I mean even for mangatards who believe Vegeta's Ultra Ego (I agree with the return to purple with Vegeta, but not how its presented. Really could have just said going his own way, takes some influence from Broly's compressed Ozaru form, and implements that on top of either SSBE/MSSBE to match Goku's further delving into Angel stuff, Vegeta """matches""" it with the fusion of the legend, the priceless god and nominally main power of the race he claims Kingship over, rather than a form that confirms Vegeta likes getting the shit beaten out of himself because he gets off to it) is a good form, a really don't see who they could think Thor loses if they know even a little bit about Thor in the comics, not the MCU.

Nah they won't have Thor just decking on Vegeta When Black got his hits on Thawne despite that being a stomp
plus the Thor Movie was supposed to come out in May 6th before it got changed

Oh yeah Vegeta will get his hits im, I'm just saying it probably isn't the animation with nearly the the most focus/polish this season in comparison to how popular a fight it is, and probably will be spruned and forgotten thanks to DBfans shunning the the fight, citing DB's former shity attempts at handling Thor and Vegeta

well it boils down to how well DB animates the fight and handles both characterization of the two
can't say Fans will hate unless it sucks
 
I take it they assume Vegeta wins based on what Hulk can do, and they think Thor still ~ Hulk.

Except 1. Fight would be much closer due to current Marvel Cosmology, 2. Thor isn't Hulk, and 3. Toyotaro has done absolutely nothing to make Vegeta stand a remote chance.

Its a DB fight with western DragonBall's most favorite character guaranteed to lose.

Black vs Tharwn is different thanks to Super being viewed as barely better than GT over all, and being a better canon version of Truffles/Baby

Helps that with Black vs Thawne everyone knew Thawne would stomp because he's a Flash and Flashes are fucking stupid. Thor isn't supposed to be this strong, like yeah people could accept maybe he is hax'd and fast to win most times, but for the past year out of nowhere he's gotten disproportionately stronger than he usually is and it's just jarring.
