Well, I’d also give the anime credit for more fleshed out/entertaining antagonists.
Anime Hit and Goku Black >>>>> Manga Hit and Goku Black.
Hit only loses and has no personality in the manga. Whereas Anime Hit has two back and forth fights with Goku pretty much ending in draws, and a brutal beat down of Dyspo and elimination of Kunshi, before finally losing to Jiren (while still getting to display a cool new technique that makes Jiren struggle a bit in the process with the time cage). And of course he has a more defined personality as someone who had his warrior’s pride awakened by Goku despite being a cold assassin for so long, and someone who adapts and improves the longer a fight goes on as he learns more about his opponent (like when he tricked Dyspo into almost getting ringed out).
The very idea of an “evil Goku” is something straight out of fanfiction but the anime managed to elevate that concept quite a bit with Goku Black actually being elegant, menacing, and badass (Masako Nozawa put in work with her voice acting to make her Goku Black inflection different from when she was voicing Goku as well so props to her for that). Whereas the manga made him a whiny bitch that threw a tantrum when Vegeta was beating him. Pretty much erasing the distinction of Zamasu’s mind being affected by being in a Saiyan body that the anime showed.
GT even if more consistent with its animation and some other stuff still really only had one good antagonist (Baby) with the rest mostly being boring rehashes (Super Android 17, Omega Shenron) or complete jokes (Haze Shenron and almost every other Shadow Dragon I can remember except Nova)

And the manga is an anemic mess of ideas that should have been abandoned, none of the classic fluff that makes Dragon Ball Dragon Ball (fluff or not, those moments helped make DB and DBZ), and even worse scaling than the Anime once you really look into it.
The real reason people simp for the manga are because they are Idiots who always believe Manga > Anime, no matter what. The vast majority of the biggest DBS manga fans over anime fans is that section. They will lie if called on it, but its 99% this reason alone.
