Dungeon Fighter Online Discussion, Feats, Lore & Analysis Thread

Okay so I will update this part in particular for anything major for Sunken Depths current patch now that it's "officially translated"(i.e. them basically using a spotty translation for English because they aren't native English speakers nor have the money to do so as it's a stupidly small team):

- One of the funniest examples of this is that Apostle Michael is now called Apostle Michaela and don't even ask me why as it consistently changed between Michael and Michaela at random even before Sunken Depths so they probably changed it to officially be the latter now(This is weirder as that's the female version of Michael... for a Male character whose connected to Archangel MICHAEL)

But to the actual current lore parts of Sunken Depths:
- The very first Quest has Mu/Nabel basically explain how Anti-Enbi truly works as while it was created by the combo of Myre, Mu, Xavi, Ergon and one other still unnamed person, it's not sustained by any real magical powers but by ideas/dreams and certain laws and what can damage and destroy it is by flipping these laws on their asses.
To put it simply: They wasn't trying to really kill Mu but more having her subvert what she represents since that would damage Anti Enbi, this is also the cause of their major attacks on the area of the Sunken Depths and the Death's Sentinels during the current patch.

  • This is also the reason you ultimately have to fight and kill Vissana of The Flawless Death because surprise, surprise, she's the equivalent of the Neo: Dark Templar and a being close enough to be Usir's Arbiter and by turning her into a Malefic Human, she completely subverted the idea of Death which will make breaking Anti Enbi easier(This is also confirmed with Usir herself outright speaking to The Adventurer about it). But it was either her or Michael who was still being purified of the Chaos he absorbed from Ozma... and considering he's also required for the "Great Battle"(most likely in the Nabel/Delezie Raid), she basically sacrificed herself to save him.
  • At once point Malefic Vissana damn near kills you with an absolutely bullshit screenwipe move but despite still being in the midst of purification, Michaela is able to cleanse the entire attack with pure holy power regardless(Truly showing off the power of an Apostle there...)
  • In the section with the Azur Maine, Mahnerval, the Malficient of Violence(Who ironically was the one who caused the issues for the Bluebirds the entire time, just using some of his power reminds the Adventurer even harder of Delezie's power and the Malefic Humans of the 1st Battalion are still capable of rational thought processes due to being so focused on their mission until the Kraken screws with their influence.

- Delezie continues to get some absolute fucking glowups as the Malificents? They are connected to Delezie all along as for them, it goes by a different name and they are using it's power to completely corrupt everything. It's even further warned by the characters if Delezie is able to fully manifest into the Seon area, not only is the Sunken Depths at risk, but all of Seon at the same time showing just how hard Delezie was holding back in North Myre. We also got Delezie's own power being able to buff the Kraken to be even stronger than it was alive and the Malificents even saying The Adventurer caused Delezie to radiate so much power(as it's in a gestation state) that Rubra felt they was going to melt despite Delezie isn't even fully awakened yet.

And here is some comics depicting stuff happening before and during the Sunken Depths update and yes, there is an English Translated Comics, you just gotta go to the bottom right and click on it:

EDIT: To basically summarize all 3 stories(As all of them are basically concurrent)
The Confined Prince:
- Frantz(who we met in the Ozma Questline) was infected by his Blood Curse and is currently being "purified" while his sister Isabella, another Princess who I'm certain we don't get a name from(unless I'm being stupid) actually wants to help him in their own ways while their father forbid them from seeing him(for obvious reasons). Hyria also sees him and it's implied she's going to use his condition for her own means. Surprise, surprise, one of the Grim Seekers we fought in the Sirocco Questline is alive(Six Shot Reina) is scoping the place out only to be caught by Teida who just happened to be in the Castle.
The unnamed Princess of the De Los Empire meets with the Head of the Church secretly to see if she can cure her brother and while they have no means of doing so, they put their hopes that Michael can do so while in the Sunken Depths.

The Saint Before Death:
- Alot easier to wrap up as it's basically just Adras and Michael looking for the Temple of Death while he's getting more and more messed up by having the power of 2 Apostles within him(So he most likely still has Sirocco's essence inside of him ontop of Ozma's). Monsters attack and Adras basically has to work double time to cover for Michael but she gets hurt and Michael decides to help but loses himself and nearly kill Adras if not for Vissina and Cenir saving her. After they take them to the Temple of Death, Vissina wonders why didn't Lemidios tell Michael anything while Usir was able to guide Adras, Vissina and Cenir to help him but they believe it's due to his "Special Power"(aka 2 Apostles) which completely blocked off Lemidios from speaking to him. They basically go and purify him of his Chaos as in the game but we get a cliffhanger of Kasinjas racing straight towards Seon.

The Blade That Pierced The Mist:
- It's actually a Kasinjas Chapter as it's his first time in Arad as while his Clones(remember, he is the Summoner's First Awakening through Contract) have seen it, he never bothered to be there personally. Upon detecting a familar energy, he attacks the presence that is just barely able to not die at the last second and it's revealed... to be ANOTHER of the Grim Seekers we fought at the Sirocco questline(It's Beastmaster something, too lazy to go look it up and it's not on the Wiki that stockpiles questlines at) along with 3 others and apparently, they have been watching over Seria the entire time and protecting her. Kasinjas can tell her energy forms the same base as The Apostles and wants to take a swing at her but the Grim Seeker group attacks him but are easily defeated. Kasinjas later reveals he was never gonna attack Seria as she can't fight but just wanted them to go all out and also gives them a tip that they need to deal with Sirocco's essence sooner or later or they will actually die from the strain(Really weird that the Beastmaster isn't especially dead somehow). Kasinjas leaves them with the final message to protect Seria from Hilder and rushes to Seon to meet with Hilder's Blade, Michael and even cuts through the Mist covering Seon in a pretty badass scene.
Oh yeah, token Cain picture as he very much still exists and Kasinjas sizing up if he can fight him now at the beginning so...

Dude, I had a fucking feeling we was gonna get some real shit down but dude, this is fucking insanity:

TL;DR: Humanity decided to create the Artifical Gods using Carloso's Darkness(As there is a passage that the 12 Artificial Gods wanted to reach His Light to the point he just covered Terra in His Darkness to avoid that... which considering what happens... yeah) which pisses Him off so much, he straight up goes to war against Humanity and basically murders everyone who didn't get the hell out including the Artificial Gods... and Eldirh created a 13th for her own reasons(It's stated she did it to bring back her daughter but it's also stated she experimented on her daughter so you gotta wait for clearer translations or not) which combined with a bit of Nabel's Darkness became Mu.

And where the rest of that Darkness went? It ultimately created the system known as The 13 Apostles! Thanks Humanity, you basically irrevocably fucked up the Multiverse in your absolute hubris
:heston

Making artifial gods out of the "darkness" of a godlike being is never a good idea can't blame him for being pissed :trinny

The craziest thing is that DFO has lead to this for quite a bit including stating The Apostles are connected to Carloso in a weird fashion and that The Apostles are able to bend the rules that other beings except for the Agents of Carloso cannot do at all.
So it makes sense that they actually a part of Carloso in that fashion but having his Darkness which came from Humanity deciding to literally fuck with shit was not on my bingo card.

Yep, it's all true. Nabel Raid officially put out that the story is all true so yeah, Humanity irrevocably fucked up the entire Multiverse just by creating the 13 Artificial Gods which got Carloso on that "Exterminatus" which only left those who was on the Tower of Despair(aka the remaining Humans on Earth) and anyone who was on "Pandemonium" when it got fucking exploded off the Earth.

And yes, Battle Mage's Teana Transformation does infact have a huge tie to the Artifical Gods as one of them is named Teana...
Of course, we can't say that Battle Mage is stronger than Artificial God Teana much in the same way we can't say that Neo: Battle Mage is stronger than the Apostles again given how ridiculous Delezie's return is being taken, Hilder is now more bullshit than ever before(So yeah Eldihr was basically holding a fuckton back despite being "human" during that period) and we still haven't seen Cain yet but it's official that he would casually murder us for free.

Considering how much stronger Cain is than the rest they might set up him to fight Carloso or something :trinny

I do hope they try to avoid making any of the two into jobbers

Alright, so the Venus Storyline has been translated to NA and there isn't much but the game is all but blatant that even with Venus in the state she's in(Basically all but forgotten and her soul isn't in her anymore), she can still give the biggest fight of the Adventurer's life and basically bring back Delezie in full... but what we see in the cutscene is just a fraction of Delezie's power as he himself has not actually went into Inae as I thought he did. Still is amazing considering Mu currently can't even protect all of Inae which is why the Nabel Raid ultimately happens.

We also found out that Seon itself is weirdly unnatural as everyone's negative thoughts are pulled into the Fount of Tribulation which created the Maleficients and the Malificent essence as a whole(This also caused major issues to Venus as all of her corruption turned inward and turned her into a shell of herself after she lost her soul). Also, we find out the flower she reached for and got destroyed in her C3 fight... is her soul(It's not as powerful as you think it is...) which actually happens canonically and she actually goes into her C3 self and she basically beats your ass black and blue before the negative emotions of her followers basically beat her down for the "defeat".
So unironically, The Adventurer can throw down with Venus but they aren't stronger than she is currently even with her diminished power... which yeah, shows we will still need lots of help to defeat The Apostles even now(Despite equally being able to throw down against the Maleficients and even win without Delezie buffing them so...)

@Xhominid The Apex could you post any feats or abilities for the Male Slayer and his subclasses to me please? I'm working on a respect thread and I'm having difficulties since the 2nd and Neo awakening paths are in Korean.
