Day 1 Lynch - Lethal was Driver Nephi, Vanilla Townie
  • Day 1 Vote Count #1
    Day 1 Vote Count #2
    Day 1 Majority Reached

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to our program. This is Mr. New Vegas, and each and every one of you is wonderful in your own special way.

Teeing off with some news for you. According to a new report, violent crime is on a sharp decline in New Vegas. The report credits the decline of the population of Fiends in the area, after the NCR started putting bounties on the heads of their captains. One such captain was Driver Nephi, who managed to kill a dozen NCR soldiers with nothing but a golf club. Fortunately, the mercenaries for hire had a bigger iron than he did."

Lethal was lynched, he was Driver Nephi, a vanilla Townie.

You are Driver Nephi, a prominent member of the fiends, the most fearsome group of raiders in the Mojave. You are a member of the town.

    You are a vanilla townie

Wincon: Eliminate all threats to the town

Night 1 - Soulkiller was Colonel Moore, Vanilla Townie

  • Me again, Mr. New Vegas, reminding you that you're nobody till somebody loves you. And that somebody is me. I love you.

Coming in with today's top story. Sources at Hoover Dam have confirmed that the commanding officer, Colonel Moore, has died. Rumor has it that she may have been assassinated, and the ensuing panic cause breif power outages in the surrounding Vegas region.

    Soulkiller has died:

You are Colonel Cassandra Moore, the commanding officer of the NCR Army forces stationed at Hoover Dam, and a member of the town.

    You are a vanilla townie.

Wincon: Eliminate all threats to the town

    Day 2 begins

    Fantastic Appears
  • DBULNFZXYAAAk6o.jpg

    Fantastic (Grammaton) has revealed himself:
You are Fantastic. You work as the lead technician at Helios One for the NCR. Despite having no qualifications, you believe yourself to be their most valuable member of this operation.

[Escape Artist] Once per game, you can reveal your role publicly.

(You must post “I’m Fantastic” in the game thread, bolded, and ping me, to activate this.)

Wincon: Eliminate all threats to the town.

Day 2 Lynch - Psychic was Courier, a Serial Killer
  • Day 2 Vote Count #1
    Day 2 - Majority Reached

The legend of the courier who crawled his way from the grave in Goodsprings had finally reached it's end. Rumors of his exploits began to spread after he took his revenge on the chairman Benny, and after he was the first person to ever be seen entering the Lucky 38. Scores of men had attempted to take his life and he had defeated them all. He seemed invincible, and the factions vying for control of the Mojave all wanted him on their sides.

And then one day, he just vanished. Perhaps he got killed and eaten by a pack of ravenous deathclaws, perhaps he tripped some buried ordinance and died where nobody could find him. Or...perhaps he just turned away, walked some direction out of Nevada and never looked back.

Psychic was lynched, she was Courier 6, a Serial JOAT

You are The Courier, a Serial Killer, and the most important player in deciding the fate of Vegas.

[Serial] You are by far the most dangerous man to walk the Mojave Wastes. By default, you possess an alternating kill (Every other cycle)

    [Character Creation]
At the start of the game, you decide what the courier’s build will be for the remainder of the game. From the skills below, you can choose 3 actives to carry with you. You must decide by Night 1:

[Guns] Once per game, you may modify your Serial Kill into a day kill.
[Energy Weapons] Once per game, you may modify your Serial Kill into a Janitored kill.
[Melee/Unarmed] Once per game, you may modify your Serial Kill into a Ninja.
[Explosives] Once per game, you may modify your Serial Kill into a Strongman kill.
[Science] You are a x1 Hacker - you can steal someone's investigation results for yourself
[Speech] Once per game, you may increase your vote power by 1.
    [Lockpick] x1 Jailer
    [Sneak] x1 Commute
    [Survival] x1 Bus Driver
    [Medicine] x1 Doctor
    [Barter] x1 Redirect
[Repair] x1 Reload an x-shot ability

[S.P.E.C.I.A.L] You also must choose one primary SPECIAL attribute for the courier. These are permanent passives.

Strength - It takes an additional vote to lynch you.
Perception - Each night you are made aware of who targets you
Endurance - You gain a [Bleed] passive. Whilst unprotected, you can survive any level of kill, but will perish one cycle after unless you are healed or achieve victory
    Charisma - Double Voter
Intelligence - Once every 2 cycles, gain an additional one-shot ability
    Agility - Permanent Redirect/Roleblock Immunity
Luck - Something good will happen to you, but you don’t know what!

[ED-E] Courier's robot companion will passively alert Courier how many players he has been targeted by each night, but not who they are.

If Courier is attacked, ED-E will take the shot instead.

[Problem Solver] Once a day, Courier can help a player out, increase their vote power by 1 for one phase. In return, you gain the ability to steal their vote. Two shots.

[Reputation] Who the courier helps out reflects how he’s perceived. Courier shares an alignment scan with the last person he has targeted with [Problem Solver], and will duplicate the role when scanned by a Role Cop.

    [Wildcard Wincon] Kill All.

You have an invitation extended to you by Mr. House, a potential benefactor. You do not know his identity, but he wishes to work together. Cooperating with him will unlock a different win condition.

Hidden Wincon: [Full House] - ???

    It is now Night 2

Night will end in 12-24 hours, depending on how soon I receive actions.

    Night 2 - TAT was Raul, a Town Repairman/Desperado

  • "The women of New Vegas ask me a lot if there's a Mrs. New Vegas. Of course there is. You're her. And you're still as perfect as the day we met. Here are our top stories. Listeners have been unable to pick up radio broadcasts from Black Mountain recently. Most are calling the static, quote, a welcome improvement. Apparently the band of Nightkin manning the station had packed up and left after their repairman, an old Ghoul, was killed."

TAT has died. He was Raul, a Town Reloader/Desperado

You are Raul Tejada, a ghoul who has lived for hundreds of years. In a previous life, you were a gunslinging Vaquero, but these days you're just a humble mechanic.

[Repairman] (x1 Reloader) - Once per game you may target another player and reload a spent x-shot ability.

[Vaquero](x1 Desperado) - Once Per Game, you may attempt to shoot another player. If that player scans guilty, you will shoot them. If they scan innocent, you will die without firing a shot.

Wincon: Eliminate all threats to Town
"If you like news, you're going to love our next segment. Witnesses report a huge object or creature surfacing in Lake Mead. So far, photos of the so-called Lake Mead Monster are grainy and underexposed."

    B-29_in_flight.jpg

The B-29 Bomber has risen! Explosive ordinance rains down on upon you ignorant savages. During the day, all players are Rolecrushed - There will be no influence of any ability whatsoever

Day 3 begins. 48 hours remain. With 17 players remaining, it takes 9 to lynch.

Day 3 Lynch - Rugrat was General Lee Oliver, Vanilla Townie

  • On a cold desert night, the General stood atop one of the watch towers on the Hoover Dam, looking across Lake Mead to Fortification Hill, where the Legion made camp in preparation for the battle to come. He'd come here to be a moment alone without someone talking in his ear, and he could only take being bunkered underground for so long. "I could practically spit on Caesar from here", he said aloud. He had become increasingly aware of the whispering of soldiers when he wasn't around, and the moniker "General wait-and-see". The irony, he thought, for he couldn't wait to march his men over there and send the Legate running with his tail between his legs.

Suddenly, the hatch to the tower opened, and an engineer appeared, surprised to see the General, who tried to conceal this habit of his. "Oh, hello there General. Sorry, I'm just taking some measurements, it'll be but a brief moment". The General was sufficiently annoyed some clipboard carrier had interrupted his moment of piece and quiet and prepared to go back to his desk. "It's alright son, you do whatever it is you need to do up here, I'm gonna go find myself some Fancy Lad Snack cakes and hit the hay."

While the General opened the hatch and prepared to descend, the engineer made a quick move and shoved him hard. He plummeted off the edge of the tower, and hundreds of feet into the mouth of the dam below, screaming too loudly to hear the declaration of the disguised man who had killed him.

"Nobody escapes the eye of the mighty Caesar"

Rugrat was lynched, he was General Lee Oliver, a Vanilla Townie

Night 3 - Alco was Enslaved

  • "And we're back. This is Mr. New Vegas, and I feel something magic in the air tonight. And I'm not just talking about the gamma radiation. You know I think all news, whether it's good or bad, brings us closer together. Don't you?

Refugees at Bitter Springs are giving startling accounts of the legate known as Lanius who is said to be Caesar's top field commander. One refugee told us the legate took over an underperforming squad of troops by beating its commander to death in full view of everyone. The legate then ordered a tenth of his own force be killed by the other nine tenths. And you thought your boss was a pain."

    Alco has been [Enslaved]

Day 4 begins. You have 48 hours.

With 16 players remaining, it takes 9 to lynch.

Doddsy was lynched - He was Mother Pearl, a town Iron Rolecrusher

  • The battle of Hoover Dam would soon commence. The Legion had never been stronger, and both Caesar and Lanius were confident they could overcome the NCR. However, there remained some unknown factors which needed to be accounted for. One of which was The Boomers, a militaristic tribe residing at Nellis Air Force Base. Any attempts from the outside to contact them were previously met with barrages of artillery, however, it was rumored that The Courier had recently breached their defenses and brokered trust with them. This introduced the possibility of diplomacy - the best outcome would to make them an asset - but there was little time. There was nothing the Legion was better at than bringing tribes to heel, but Caesar respected their artillery, and could not afford to lose too many men taking them out of the picture.

But Vulpes, his Frumentarii and top field agent assured him it could be done. His scouts had recently discovered a train tunnel in the area that could get them access to their base. In the cover of the night, Vulpes led a group of assassins past their fences and guards. They slipped into the barracks where their leaders slept, and cut their throats. Without firing a shot, and without a single puff of smoke, the Boomers were dealt with, at least for the time being. Ignorant to such ways of warfare, they would fail to recognize who the culprit was and fall into infighting. None of them could know that they were actually shown mercy, and should Caesar come to rule the Mojave, they would truly come to know the meaning of the word "Profligate".

Doddsy was lynched, he was Mother Pearl, a town Iron Rolecrusher

You are Mother Pearl, matron of the Boomers, a heavily armed isolationist tribe. You are a member of the town.

[B-28 bomber] Once per game, during the day, you can carpet bomb savages with explosive ordinance, rolecrushing everyone for one phase.

[Missile Defense System] (x1 iron) Once per game, you can make yourself Iron.

Wincon: Eliminate all threats to town

Night 4 begins, and will end in 12-24 hours, depending on how soon actions are submitted

Night 4: Tweet was killed - He was President Kimball, Town Politician

  • The Battle of Hoover Dam would soon commence. Morale among NCR troops in the Mojave was at an all-time low, as Legion had taken more positions across the Colorado river - Nelson, Camp Forlorn Hope, Bitter Spring. They seemed almost unstoppable. The last stand would be at the Dam, and it was necessary for the President to come down and remind them what they're fighting for. His Vertibird landed at Hoover Dam, and he was escorted to the podium. Security was on high alert for any suspicious activity.

"Thank you, my fellow Californians, who have come so far to answer the call to service put forth by the republic. It is for you that I have come here, and it is because of you that I am able to do so. We enjoy our privileges because you take the greatest of risks and are prepared to make the most noble of sacrifices. It is because of men and women like Private First Class Jeremy Watson that Nevada and the New California Republic remain free and secure.

Born in a tin shack on the outskirts of One Pine, Jeremy Watson never had it easy. His father worked as a caravan guard on the Short Loop, and his mother, like many Californians, braved the ruins of the Old World as a prospector. They suffered through water shortages, raider attacks, and the NCR-Brotherhood War. Like our mighty Sierra Nevadas, they endured. But the time came when they could no longer shoulder the burden alone. Twelve years ago, they called out for help, and the republic heard them.

Troopers and rangers, just like you, answered the clarion call. Men and women stepped forward to say, "I will carry the weight." And at Owen's Lake, we made true on our promise, driving out the raider tribes to establish a lasting peace in the-"

The President's head exploded into a red mist, and fractions of a second later, the sound of the sniper's shot rang out across the Dam. The fate of the NCR in Vegas was written in red.

Tweet was killed, he was President Kimball, a Town Politician

You are Aaron Kimball, decorated war veteran and current President of the NCR.

[Politician] - You start off the game with the passive [Loved]. The cycle after, your passive will switch to [Hated], and you will cycle between the two for the rest of the game.

Wincon: Eliminate all threats to town

Ratchet was Poisoned, and will perish in one cycle unless cured

    Day 5 begins.

You have 48 hours. With 13 players remaining, it takes 7 to lynch

Day 5 lynch - Phenom was Boone, a Town Voyeur/Vigilante

  • "Tired of waiting for the world to be done with him, Boone ventured into the wastes to make his own way out. Unable to clear his mind of the past, he was at last granted the death he'd awaited, bringing final rest to a life that had ended long ago"

Phenom was lynched, he was Craig Boone, a Town Enhanced Voyeur/Vigilante

You are Craig Boone, former First Recon Sniper for the NCR. You foster a deep resentment to the Legion for capturing and enslaving your wife. You will stop at nothing to kill every last one you see.

[If I see red] (Enhanced Voyeur) Boone is trained as a Spotter, as well as a sniper. During the night, he can target one player and observe what types of actions they are targeted by, as well as if they’re visited by The Legion.

[The last thing they never see]
(Conditional Vig) You have a x1 Ninja-Modified Vig Kill. Once spent, this is can be reloaded by detecting Legion activity via [If I see red], but can't be used concurrently.

[Deathwish] All forms of protection will fail on Boone

Wincon: Eliminate all threats to town

    Night 5 begins.

Tonight will last at least 2 hours, but otherwise end as soon as I receive actions

    Game over - Mafia wins
  • A tragedy has befallen Mankind

"Robert Edwin House, 261, President, CEO, and sole proprietor of the New Vegas Strip, industrialist and technologist, founder, President, and CEO of the multi-billion-dollar pre-war robotics and software corporation, RobCo Industries, has died.

Generally recognized by Mr. House to be mankind's only hope of long-term survival, Mr. House's passing may well sound a death knell for the entire human race.

Lost forever is his bounty of knowledge concerning human longevity, the depth and breadth of which could, as he was apt to say, "fill several text books." He was not exaggerating. Though he did not achieve his goal of functional immortality, let us not forget that he died at the age of 261. How many people do that? I mean, come on.

Also lost forever are House's singular personality, force of will, vision, and leadership ability. The probability of an equally capable figure emerging from the current human population to lead mankind to a future of equivalent quality is less than 0.000112% by objective measures too complex to detail in this obituary.

Personality and force of will: Born June 25th, 2020, House was orphaned at an early age when his parents died in a freak accident (auto gyro, lightning). Though cheated of his inheritance, House attended the prestigious Institute in Massachusetts and founded RobCo Industries on his 22nd birthday. Within five years, it was one of the most profitable corporations on Earth.

Vision: By 2065, House was certain that an atomic war would soon devastate the planet. At great personal expense, he developed technologies to ensure the structural integrity of the city of Las Vegas (as it was known at the time). On the day of the great war, 77 atomic warheads targeted the city. Mr. House defeated them all. Talk about vision!

Leadership: Mr. House survived the war, of course, and would later recruit the Three Families, negotiate the Treaty of New Vegas, and rebuild the Vegas Strip. While these achievements yielded many immediate benefits, they were all part of House's master plan to re-ignite mankind's quest for technological advancement, a plan without which the human race has nowhere to go, and nowhere to turn.

/// Will revise and finish this up later. Have set the age at death to update automatically. Obit makes salient points but "pearls before swine," of course. Let's hope the ingrates never have cause to read it. Who knows how many of them are even literate!"

BPD has been lynched. He was Mr. House, The Independent Benefactor
Welcome to the game, you are Mr. House, President of the New Vegas strip and an Independent Benefactor.

Your goal is to take control of Vegas by wiping out the legion and removing the NCR from your territory as occupants...but allowing them to be your customers.

With the death of your talented hand, the Courier, you odds of seeking imminent control of Vegas look slim. But by positioning yourself properly and making some well calculated moves, perhaps you can make this conflict painful for both sides, and buy more time to cease your chance at takeover.

[Computational Simulation] (Bookie) Once per night, submit a guess as to which player will be lynched the next day. If you succeed, you may choose another player to be a [Benefactor] towards.

[Benefactor] Once you have selected a player to back, they will gain a permanent +1 to their vote power. You are limited to one recipient at a time. Choosing one of the players listed in your wincon with this ability will result in your death.

In exchange, you gain the following benefits:

    - You will obtain any results the player receives in their stead
    - You will passively hide behind them - any kills and investigations are redirected their way.
    - You can send one-way messages to that player
    - Once, you may have them kill a player of your choice.

You may only be the [Benefactor] of one player at a time.

[Lucky 38] To the rest of Vegas, very little is known about you, except that you reside in the well protected Lucky 38. This has the following effects:

    - By default: All forms of investigation will return [No Result]. (Changes with [Benefactor])
    - By default: Kills will fail on you, as well as any action considered hostile (roleblocks, etc.). However, in response to direct attack, you go into lockdown and rolecrush yourself for one cycle.

    [Hated]
House’s cold disposition and lack of a physical presence makes him unpopular with the residents of Vegas. House requires one less vote to lynch.

Wincon: [All or Nothing] Survive until Colonel Moore, General Lee Oliver, Caesar, Legate Lanius, and Vulpes Inculta have fallen.

With the death of Robert House, nothing can stop The Legion and The Legionary Allies from taking over New Vegas

    Congrats to the winners:
