OBD Convo #58: We are the Heroes of Justice

The funny part is that's not correct:
The Angels are the Bad Guys(Unless you are a Lumen Sage)...
Well unless you're a non-possessed Balder anyway. :maybe
but so are the Demons in Bayonetta(Bayonetta 2's huge chunk of the plot is what happens the second a Demon is off the leash).
I didn't mean to imply they were the ONLY bad-guys or that the demons were any better, though that's certainly how Adi would interpret it.

Hell Bayonetta Origins showed us the Fae are just as fucking bad aside from Lukaon and his dad. Just like with Devil May Cry, it's a matter of the individual rather than a whole species.
In actuality, Bayonetta 3 and the entire franchise heavily imply Madama Butterfly is unironically Sparda-like as a Demon(Even when every other Demon under Bayonetta had a chance to betray her, Madama never did) and she's the reason why Bayonetta isn't suffering far worse at the end of 3 alongside Luka.
Yep and then you also have Rodin whose implied to have been an angel himself at one point to show the other side of the coin of a non-evil Angel.

Also Cheshire is another example of a non-evil demon. Along with Baal and the Phantom of the Japanese Cereza's world. You could also make a case for every demon that stuck with Cereza in Bayonetta 2 such as Labolas or Diomedes.
Adi will absolutely butcher that though easily and effortlessly.
Beyond any doubt.

the espada, akatsuki and genei ryodan hype back in the 00s, is still iconic levels, these gens will never know the amount of traffic these crews, produced back there, with either dozens of good or bad convos related to them, sheesh

While Future Gohan only exists in the alternate timeline where Goku dies from a heart virus, he's still a version of Gohan — and a pretty cool one, at that. Future Gohan is Earth's lone warrior against the Androids, and he's got a huge grudge to bear after they murder nearly all of his friends and family. Attack on Titan's Mikasa Ackerman is no stranger to the losses of war, making it easy for them to relate to each other. Moreover, Mikasa is a loyal and confident fighter, traits that Gohan can surely appreciate.

Not only is Fairy Tail's Erza Scarlet a formidable warrior, but she's also got a strong sense of duty that Gohan is sure to relate to. Erza is a great leader who looks out for her fellow guildmates and has nearly unshakable faith in her own skill and power. She's also dedicated to becoming stronger in the name of protecting those close to her, which is strikingly similar to the reasons that Gohan fights. Erza and Gohan are sure to find a lot to respect in one another, and her temper won't be too much to handle after being around Chi-Chi his whole life.

wait wat

cringe bot rangers back at it, what up with this fan dweeb garbage topics/articles trend? they gotta chill, cer is activated again, cer = cringe experience requiem :jordangif

Considering how young I am, I think it might be the Covid-19 vaccine. It's not normal to go through AFIB, even if you live an unhealthy lifestyle at my age, so it might have been that which made me susceptible to it.
Don't call that shit a vaccine, because it never was.

I feel for you though man. I do. Hopefully you still go on to live a long and mostly healthy life, instead of having it cut short because of the stupid jab. :wow

Question

If I want to get into moon knight, Deadpool and Constantine what comic runs should I read?

Also I recently reread Warren Ellis's Supergod cause I was bored in class.

Made the lecture actually bearable cause of how fucking ass it was, forgot how edgy it was and idk what the term for it is, but its anti-religious takes. Legit the only good thing about it was the art and Krishna's design.

Okay 1st episode done and I was somehow still NOT prepared for how BAD this was gonna be.

First off
"This is NOT a matter of religion anymore, it's science."

Actual line from the episode and I can already see Adi incessantly trying to scientifically explain shit that doesn't need to be explained. Like how demons and humans apparently have similar DNA due to common ancenstry, which is obviously to explain WHY they can have kids with each other, which DOESN'T need to be explained. You're overcomplicating it for no reason

You acknowledge that the existence of demons proves God's word as FACT but chalk up the religious elements to "different mythologies have the same stories for a reason". You write off the magic element to say "demons methodologies may SEEM medieval but they're understanding of Quantum mechanics is FAR beyond ours" to justify the world separating spell (done by Force Edge here) and the amulet key that will apparently break it.

Then we had the "political satire" scene which I cringed the whole fucking way through along with the crazed religious nut.

Also you mean to tell me that America would have this "DARKCOM" organization to deal with demon shit (which makes sense by the way, I don't have anything against the idea) but the fucking VATICAN wouldn't have any anti-demon defences at all?

Also a bunch of human guys with a net-gun are not subduing Lucia, much less torturing her without her devil triggering and flying her ass the fuck out of there. Unless she's not a demon here, which wouldn't make sense if she's still using her blades as her main weapons which was shown.

Also also, the Vice President (who runs Darkcom) ordered ALL Devil Hunters be brought to them, you had them capture Lucia (who should be on an island outside of American jurisdiction mind you) but not anybody from FORTUNA. The place that has a religious ORDER of demon hunters.

  • Dante being surprised by a demon disguised as a human is not a thing (man can tell, play DMC4)
  • Dante passing on jobs because he's "bored" is NOT a thing (if he takes a job, he sees it through)
  • The White Rabbit has Vergil's amulet, that better not be Vergil being "possessed" already which they said was a thing strong demons do because they can't physically cross over.
That was thirty minutes and it felt like every other minute, i would have to stop to process something else stupid that happened. There's seven more fucking episodes of this shit. :tiredpepe
Glad I chose not to watch. Saved myself some braincells and what little remains of my sanity not consuming trash. A disgrace and insult to DMC and also, as I thought would happen, a direct shot at western religion. Because of course. Why wouldn't it be?

I'd ask for Adi to retire and never disgrace us with his tripe again, but that's just wishful thinking. And this man wants to take on Berserk? :mjha Get the fuck out of here. :mjlol

I'll put it this way, even though I was always going to give it a chance. I obviously knew it was probably going to be bad.
So much so I was glad I had AEW Dynamite to watch first 'cause it let me put it off. :maybe

At least I get SOME enjoyment out of AEW, this shit was just BAD.

The sad thing is that there's no reason things like Castlevania, like Devil May Cry couldn't be adapted into TV shows or even movies fine. You just need to get the right people to make them, or get the original creator heavily involved like with One Piece.

It's just very clear that Adi is NOT the person who should be working on shows like this. It just happened he lucked into Castlevania Season 1 actually being decent so it tricked people into letting him continue.

@Darth Nihilus I will officially eat crow on something we discussed on one of the streams.

Recently decided to replay Assassin's Creed Origins and give it another shake, since its been quite a while since I last played. And I have to say, I judged that game too harshly.

I'm still of the mind that every New AC game after it is dogshit that isn't for me, but I'll make an exception for that game, as I've genuinely been having fun with it.

Origins was the last good AC game in my book

Really loved the Egyptian setting
Ignoring the story

Ac Shadows is aight
