Well, just watched what's available of RWBY: IQ on RoosterTeeth. Man, folks weren't kidding. That shit was
super condensed, and they legit rapid-fired through the Jaune and JNPR segments, especially for the nightmare Grimm that showed up. Legit only gave us a tiny taste of what it can do to someone, because Jaune is so pathetically weak, it didn't have much Aura to grow on.

Looks like Urobuchi did as much as he could to make Jaune irrelevant, and only be there to hint at what's about to happen to Weiss on a much bigger scale. I approve, seeing as Miles' self insert was always a trash character, even by RWBY standards.
Animation was solid for the most part, though I am curious how IQ's version of the Grimm beheading by the canyon is going to be calced. I think it looked a little more impressive than the original, but I don't remember it all too well, and am too lazy to look that shit up.

Character development was also rushed even faster than the original two volumes, and the chars end up even more underdeveloped as a result due to the breakneck pace. I do appreciate one addition though, which I can't remember if it was in the original or not, and that's Weiss being the one to be eaves-dropping on Jaune and Pyrrha and not Cardin, and its from here she gets the idea to play nice to Ruby, so that it might make her look better, being so supportive of what she considers to be a bad leader. They legit, with one change, made that coffee scene with Weiss make more sense and be in-character for her early character, rather than just doing an instant 180 because of Port.
Overall, it wasn't a bad watch. Nothing spectacular just yet, in my opinion, but even with the obvious flaws presented, I'd say its still worth watching a little further. Will need to see the newer content more for a further judgement, before deciding if its actually good, or chalked as fuck.
