The funny part is most likely WHY he got fired...
Dude got omega tilted... because Jack Perry, the son of Luke Perry and the current Jungle Boy, simply clapped back at him and dude went so irate, it's implied he also nearly attacked Tony Khan in the process.

It was about damn time but all it does is further show how it took way too long for him to act like a boss...
That or he really did fire Punk over Email like some believe:jordangif

You know what? I used to think Vince was an absolute prick for firing Punk on his wedding day, just because of how petty it was. In hindsight though? After everything Punk's pulled, I don't think Vince was petty enough, in giving him the 'fuck you' on the way out. Man should've gone turbo, in pissing Punk off, by sending him a formal invitation, signed and stamped, to join the 'kiss my ass' club, for good measure, and stricken Punk from the record books, for the WWE championship reigns.:mjlol :kobeha

Either way, Tony found a pair, at least for one day, and showed that he had a fucking line, and wouldn't be a door mat forever. Hopefully, he finds a bigger pair in the future, and starts changing shit up at AEW, to make them a proper competitor. I highly doubt he will, based off his track record, but maybe, just maybe, this whole Punk debacle was the wake-up call that geek needed.:maury
 
I feel it's way too much to say WWE will take him back considering he's old, busted and absolutely will try and throw his weight around in the locker room like he tried in the past and in AEW.

Vince may be the forgiving type but technically, CM Punk already royally screwed them over as they waited months before finally deciding to fire him for literally bailing because he wanted to be treated as the top guy without doing any of the top guy shit needed.
