Like it makes no sense as most superheroes usually use derivative names to try and distance themselves from who they are using similar legacies to even when it comes to Spider-Men, let alone when it comes to heroes outside of that(And most people tend to hate Heroes that just hock the exact same codename as it makes them feel like they are just placeholders).
Like people pretty much called out Jon Kent for that exact reason of being Superman and yet basically doing absolutely nothing with it but diminishing it over petty bullshit he could fix with his own powers. They absolutely could do the same for Miles Morales but they don't want to:
They want to literally have him replace Peter Parker in every way but be better but only White Women really care about his ass, not even the target demographics(Blacks and Puerto Ricans) care about Miles Morales more than anyone else does.
What makes it more retarded is that Fire Lord Sozin was evil, let's not ignore that, but he was evil in the sense that he actually had good intentions but the road was paved to Hell in his methods. He also ultimately showed vulnerability as he hated having to leave his best friend to die but did it make sure his ambitions would be unimpeded. He was the perfect example of someone who became worse and worse due to that and just going "Well he hated Same-Sex Marriage and banned it" not only seems retarded, not only seems to be extremely petty which is not his M.O. in the slightest... but what other Nation at all ALLOWED Same-Sex Marriage to begin with?!
I never seen any other major or even minor Kingdoms allow that so why would Sozin suddenly deny it when it was obviously never in the cards?

1. Why would the Air Nomads, those who primarily follow the most secular culture of all the Groups, somehow be the most tolerant?
2. Nothing in The Last Airbender supports this at all(Aang was not raised by the Community anymore than anyone else was)
3. It doesn't even work in Korra either as you still had parents watch over their kids when that stupid ass Convergence happened and Aang's Airbender son was nothing more than a teacher.
