If they are handed potential, they will destroy it in seconds. if they are handed shit, they will make it even worse. They can't write anything new without basically forcing it in the hard way and want immediate gratification rather than long term success and that's why American Comics are in an absolutely unrecoverable state.

It's funny how right after I made that post about how Ghost Reaper Girl was taking from Lovecraft mythos and not Greek mythos, so Hades showing up isn't likely, it occurred to me that the chapter clarified the directors are actually officially called the "Cardinal Directors", as in the four cardinal directions from Asian/Chinese Mythology.
Then I started thinking how Nyarla's the EAST one and her hair extends almost like a snake (or an Eastern Dragon
). They also specify that there are FIVE gates to Hades and given the one our crew use to get there is in the Far East Branch HQ, we can assume the others are in the other Branch HQs, so Hastur would represent the center god if Ikeda ends up following through on the implications here.
I just wonder where the center gate is going to end up being in that case, will it be in the core of the Earth or something cool like that. This chapter's got me thinking now, I wonder how much other mythologies are going to influence the story going forward. But overall I'm just so happy this series is back.
