Honest to god, the more I think of Heihachi's new Daughter, not only is Jin's entire questline fucking pointless(Which is only done because Harada is a fucking asshat when it comes to Jin), it also makes Lars' entire existence weird and even Heihachi's own "Redemption" and "feel bad for him" look suspect as fuck.
Lars was born primarily because Heihachi wanted to see if it was his side of the family that carried the Devil Gene... so apparently that being proven correct meant he went and started making children like mad and considering Reina, they are all not like Lars in the slightest... why should we feel bad for this man again? Dude basically went full Robert De Niro except worse to god knows how many kids.

Uh huh especially when Vergil was legitimately too obsessed with opening the gate to the demon world and getting his father's power, NOT TO MENTION the fact that he absolutely HATED HUMANS with a burning passion, to have fathered Nero when he supposedly did.
By contrast Lady has been right there since DMC3, there are lengthy periods with no major demonic incidents and even Lady herself bemoans the fact that Nero "knows how to get the girl" showing Dante really could have had that at any time. Dumb fuck.
I mean Sanctus straight up states, CORRECTLY, in DMC4 that if the demons returned, humans would be too weak to do a fucking thing about it.
Now don't get me wrong, I get that Dante's life hasn't exactly been all sunshine and roses and maybe he doesn't want to subject any child he has to that, but you still gotta make sure SOMEONE is around to deal with the demons after you bite the dust, you're not immortal Dante.
MAYBE with Nero being around, he'll be less hesitant now but I have a funny feeling they're just not gonna do it at all at this point, though Lady was talking about "settling down" at the end of DMC V so...

It gets worse when you realize the writers and producers KNEW THAT and just have Vergil go "Well... that was a long time ago" when it's vitally important how someone who HATED HUMANS as much as he hated Demons would go to a prostitute and have a 1 Night Stand at all, especially to fondly reminisce about it!
Meanwhile, it makes zero sense for Dante to go "I don't want kids" as if it's now suddenly an issue of not wanting them to have a similar fate because if Dante dies, that's it, Human World's perma-fucked. Lady and Trish alone won't be enough to fit the bill and there is no Demons similar to Sparda in any fashion to carry that torch which makes it worse(ESPECIALLY if the next DMC game is just Bayonetta 3 or worse, we get an "evil" Heavenly Faction).

Like I said, it's stupid for Dante to go that route in the first place as it makes no sense at all for him to do so. Like hook him up with Lady, have a kid, won't stop him from slaying Demons at all whatsoever(and if anything, Vergil's escapade should make that even MORE clear than ever).
Like, real talk, my main issue with Jin Kazama's story isn't even not having a kid, it's the fact that Harada's stupid ass thinks that Jin can't be with anyone because "He would have a kid" similar to Isabella Valentine's story... but it not only misses the point, it doesn't even work like her's.
Isabella Valentine doesn't want any chance of her tainted blood to continue to live on like Jin but UNLIKE Jin, Ivy actually not only has the means, but we see her go well out of her way to even prolong her life(or getting a whole new ass body altogether) to destroy Soul Edge which would make perfect sense why she doesn't want to connect to anyone to that personal degree.
Meanwhile what's that case for Jin? Yeah, he wants to take down the Devil Gene sure but why can't he connect to anyone when it comes to his rather simple secondary goal of defeating Heihachi and Kazuya? Hell, Kazuya KILLED Heihachi for him and it doesn't even make sense as his FUCKING FATHER HAS SHOWN A BETTER SPOT OF LOVE FOR HIS MOM THAN JIN DOES FOR XIAYOU! Like you don't have to fuck but my fucking god, you can still actually be a couple with someone and not have a kid, especially when until Tekken 6's stupidity there was nothing stopping Jin from having a simple anchor while he takes down his father(and especially not now with Tekken 8). That's just my opinion though, especially with the Mishima Bloodline will never stop now and the Hachijou shit still exists.
