So the French Olympics opening ceremony…

What society degrades into when we abandon God. Even with every fucking form of degeneracy I’ve witnessed this past decade, I’m still genuinely in shock at what I’ve seen.

Now I’m just wondering when these tranny fucks and *** hags will have the balls to mock Muhammad like they do Jesus.

:hestonpls

Can’t even post any pictures or tweets here because apparently, one of the ***gots in that Satanic mockery of The Last Supper had his balls out. On live television. For the Olympics.

France has become a modern day Sodom

I was watching someone review FFXVI the other day and I had to do a double take when he got to talking about Jill, because he acted like female characters getting little to do but being damsels was typical of Final Fantasy as a whole? :drake

Final Fantasy has some of the most get shit done female characters full stop, especially when they're party members. Many of their parties or even their whole worlds would literally be completely screwed without them. Sure sometimes you do have to save them but they also save the rest of the party or others as well, good examples being Yuna, Garnet and Aerith. That's WHY Jill's treatment sticks out so much.

He was also like "at least Jill has a character arc" as if even that much was rare for the series. :breh

Yeah her and the vast majority of major female characters in the series, especially if they are party members. Like dude there's a reason people argue Yuna or Ashe are the REAL MAIN characters of their games (I agree with the latter, not with the former but that's just me). Where's the bad "representation" here since XVI "isn't the worst by any stretch"?

The dude was a FFVI fan which makes it even more of a ridiculous take considering that game has Terra and Celes who last I checked are looked upon pretty fucking favourably. :jordangif

Didn't Yuna get kidnapped at one point, kicking off a mini-rescue arc, only to break out on her own?

Iirc she breaks out just as you beat the boss keeping you off the ship she's been taken to, literally interrupting the victory screen in the process :skully

Also Ashe, Lightning, Aerith, the girl from 6 (never played it, don't kill me), hell Rydia and Rosa refuse to let the guys sideline them in the finale.

Yes that's when the Al Bhed kidnapped her in Luca and along with interrupting the victory theme, you see the last of the Al Bhed crew fall over unconscious as she beat the dog shit out of them with just her staff (presumably). :kobeha

I know, I don't know what the fuck the guy was smoking.

Even Garnet who does get saved at one point, later saves Alexandria from Bahamut (along with Eiko) by summoning Alexander. Hell that game starts with you attempting to "kidnap" her only for her to use you as a chance to escape the castle. :heston

Like MAYBE he's thinking of Rinoa or Aerith but even then, they BOTH end up facilitating the downfall of Sephiroth and Ultimecia respectively so. :maybe

It's extremely clear it's a poser that never actually played or even read Final Fantasy in their lives... pretending they know Final Fantasy. It's a sad growing phenomenon of dudes who want to change shit from different franchises without actually showing they know nothing about it, so they use a social media platform to pretend they are important enough for companies to start catering their way even though they don't give a fuck about it.

Like legit, I cannot name a single Final Fantasy game where the female has no arc but being rescued and that's it. There ARE Final Fantasy games where the female gets shafted(Freya in FFIX) but that ALSO happens to the men(Amarant literally has no real reason to exist past being the typical bad boy with the twist is that he wasn't and just got screwed over by Zidane) so it's not epidemic to it either.
Like there are ALOT of issues with Jill and the fact that she really doesn't do much in the story despite being a Dominant is pretty insane, especially in the final sequence where every other Dominant decides to go after Ultima... EXCEPT for Jill which feels like a massive slap in the face.

It also ignores the fact that there are good few good female characters in FFXVI who (at least in the side-quests) get to do a lot for their respective towns like Martha in Rosaria or Isabelle/the Dame in Northreach. There's also Mid obviously who comes in clutch in the later half of the game.

The reason Jill's treatment is because she's a MAIN character, though even then it's strange to complain about the scene where she gives up her power to Clive. She actually HAD to do that because neither of them were strong enough to beat Barnabas separate.

Though yes her sitting out at the end while Dion gets to go and Prime and all just 'cause is really shitty. I mean even in the Ironblood arc of the story, all she ends up really getting to do is holding some lava back while Clive beats the boss. Sure she kills the Patriarch but the Ironblood also don't play a major role in any other part of the story, all but confirming they're an afterthought put in JUST to give Jill something to do.

Lunafreya arguably does about as much for the overall plot of her game as Jill does and that's really NOT a compliment as you well know. Lunafreya is probably the closest I can think of to what he's talking about, but even she gets to wake the Leviathan up and what not.

I legit forgot about Lunafreya but that's due to my unending hatred of FFXV so I just tend to blot out the games' existence unless I'm reminded :jordangif

They took an interesting approach for this, trying to animate what seems to be manga panels instead of trying to make an anime like others, likely trying to capture the feeling the manga gives

It really works, especially when seeing how the other Junji Ito Anime failed at capturing the look and feel with the digital coloring. Some Manga just get adapted better when you keep the black and white look that has an atmosphere you can't get with color. I'm hoping this anime is successful enough to inspire a trend for some to do the same, like if they ever do an adaption of Blame!.

That's something I was wondering myself :tupac
