Seems ny is getting Canada wildfire redux cause while I was going to work I smelled smoke the moment I stepped outside my house. I thought something was burning outside but the smell was present everywhere. Looked it up and apparently the smell is from NJ wildfires.
Let's just hope the sky doesn't turn orange
How in the hell they are getting wildfires in this temperature I have no fucking clue but if they are anything like California it must be due to shitheads not knowing how to control their flares and having unnecessary amount of vegetation to feed them.
Afaik temperature doesn't actually matter for a fire. As long as the airs dry enough and there's oxygen+kindling you can make a fire. Even in -degrees
Usually there's rain and snow in these seasons which stop fires because water keeps the fire getting oxygen but of course this year has a weirdly dry fall season.
