Still the best version of "Homework Ga Owaranai" (Megumi Ogata > Matsuko Mawatari)

And the best ending theme to any battle shonen anime in my opinion ever with the exception of one DBZ ending theme that nobody here knows.

Anyone want to stream the undisputed heavyweight title fight between Fury and Usyk today? I think it starts at 2 EST.

Wait a minute, I thought Carmelo Hayes was supposed to be buried after last week. I thought he was gonna have to go to Raw to reset? :jordangif

Motherfucker not only interrupts Braun to come out and challenge while calling him a "dumb Son of a Bitch", not only does he proceed to win the match afterwards (by count out but it still counts), he THEN proceeds to also get the better of him backstage with a steel chair.

Yeah buried my ass. :heston

Meanwhile LA Knight, Andrade and Apollo pushed Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga to the limit, only losing 'cause Nakamura came out to take out LA Knight (which combined with Solo getting DQ'ed last week 'cause he couldn't beat him, is doing a lot to keep Knight looking strong as hell in this). Reminder that same trio beat Roman and the Usos basically clean a few months back with Solo pinning Reigns. :maybe

Friend is ultimately alright, not that many additions past expanding the flashbacks of Juugo and Bazz's past(Though we fully see just how... thorough Yhwach's slaughter of Bazz's Clan was including the Machine Gun Quincy Chick just blows off Bazz's mother's head clean off by noticing her at the window for like a second.) and really getting the feeling of how their friendship ultimately went down the shitter.

It's basically a truly fucked up version of Uryu and Ichigo's relationship where it becomes completely irreparable due to ultimately a misunderstanding of why Haschwalth was powerless and Yhwach taking advantage.

I still wonder how many people would say Yhwach's justified after seeing the expanded fashion of him taking down Bazz's Clan and finding out that's how he conquered territory back in the day...

EDIT: My dumbass didn't even pay attention that one of the biggest changes of the anime is that while we know Haschwalth was given Bazz's Pin and he still has it to this day, Bazz also gave Haschwalth his Family Sword... and Haschwalth STILL USES IT. Really puts in the fact that Haschwalth does value Bazz-B as a friend and just how much it hurts to have killed him because his loyalty is to Yhwach.

Really I kind of blame Bazz for the friendship going awry 'cause he simply couldn't handle the idea of Haschwalth being picked over him. Then of course he was too dumb to realize that Haschwalth not rising to his taunts and trying to stop him from getting to Moustache, was him trying to protect him. He also still looks dumb for seemingly forgetting that Moustache is an asshole, him being surprised by the Auswalen stunt really doesn't make sense.

Granted this doesn't excuse Haschwalth for killing him, but that was to establish a contrast between this and Uryu vs Ichigo, showing why Uryu IS the better man of the two and ultimately the one to actually kill Moustache successfully or at least cause his death.

Yeah they made it more obvious that Haschwalth still valued that friendship, which is in turn going to make it seem less out of fucking nowhere when he does help them with that vision at the end.

Still the fight itself was meh despite the animation and didn't deserve anywhere near the hype it was given.

To be fair, it was Bazz's fault but it's pretty obvious in the manga and will be in the anime that Haschwalth... just quit the plan to kill Yhwach because he felt truly valued for once. That and feeling that ultimately Yhwach is just too above him which is why he loses his shit when Uryu can still challenge Yhwach despite the situation he's in.
Like I said before, it's a truly fucked up version of Ichigo and Uryu's friendship at the end of it.

The Manga didn't do the best of jobs because again there's only so much past just having Haschwalth bawl his eyes or break his stoicism which honestly wouldn't fit him. Having him stagger up the steps despite Bazz-B barely hurt him, showing he takes awhile to sheathe the Family Sword Bazz gave him alone showed just how much he cared. And while the manga showed bits of it, it didn't really show enough just how much he valued Bazz's friendship to help Uryu at the end of it all.

So ultimately, I do agree and honestly, it's pretty clear that it was never about the fight at the end of it all. Bazz-B stood no fucking chance against Haschwalth and it would be insane to see he can without a Volstandigt especially after an Auschwalen powerup. It was basically that they was friends and shit just went south horribly.

Oh yeah, we are getting apparently 2 final episodes this Cour and it's been confirmed that they will be back to back and one of them is Uryu vs. Haschwalth(as it's the chapter name of when they fight) and to say that's a major departure is an understatement.
