I'd understand if he actually tried to stop it by hitting Prince Nana, Swerve came down and knocked his ass out, put him back in the ring and THEN they TP'ed him, but him just letting it happen made him look like a joke.

At least a couple of them realized that this is a VERY bad look for Ricochet's credibility. To be clear, if he doesn't jump Swerve and drop his ass on the next Dynamite or win the eventual match (at least the first one) then AEW Ricochet is hella fucking BURIED. There's no coming back from this.

Real shit? I don't even doing that will save him from this.
There's a reason why WWE only tends to humiliate wrestlers like this when they are either extremely credible(aka it wouldn't do anything to them) or it was the McMahons who are meant to be hated and despised when it happens.
The issue with Ricochet is that he went from Hero to Zero almost immediately and is not even liked by the crowd because surprise surprise, he can't talk worth shit and being a chicken shit heel would just expose that even more. Not helped that he's ultra-tender as shit as he can't help but basically act like a bitch any time he gets any criticism at all and is soft as baby shit in his comebacks.

He's been completely exposed and it wouldn't matter if he won every other match afterwards, all this done is ultimately expose him for the worst.

It certainly didn't help to put him in the ring with legitimate over tough guys in the Hurt Syndicate and have MVP do to his card what Tony really should do with Ricochet's contract at this point 'cause he's not getting anything out of him. :kobeha

At least Mercedes occasionally puts on a good match even if she has a lot of the same problems as Ricochet and can't the crowd hot outside of in a match.

Whereas Toni Storm so much as shows up and the crowd go bananas. Women has them eating out of the palm of her hand, even getting them chanting "SHE'S A ROOKIE" through this shitty amnesia storyline because she sells it that well. I don't know what Tony Khan is paying that woman but I guarantee you it's not nearly enough.

Ricochet being in The Hurt Business feels like it was absolutely a last second thing done by both Tony Khan and MVP because MVP typically stirs the pot but didn't really mean to go as deep as he did and thus brought in Ricochet to deflect from the "I only put Black Guys into The Hurt Business" deal(though I believe Ricochet may be half-black so again..." and for Tony, it was to give him something to do... which makes no sense because last time they was in the ring together, Bobby Lashley embarrassed the shit out of him by making him look like ass.
Why would they ever invite him into The Hurt Business after that rather than... oh I don't know, Swerve? Have it be like John Cena is forced into The Nexus but without the retarded stuff.
