Just when you could believe Grand Slam Australia couldn't get any WORSE, I am proven wrong.
So not only did Tony Khan scam people out of money by charging stadium money for what was originally supposed to be a PPV, then not giving refunds to people. They also cheeped out when it came to the RING. Instead of shipping a normal sized one, they went and asked a local Indie promotion to borrow their TINY 16 x 16 that was then badly put together.
You could literally see the ring posts tilted inwards. Buddy Matthews actually hurt his ankle during his match with Okada, because of this sorry excuse for a ring (he initially sent out a tweet complaining about this but has since deleted, though there are screenshots of it).
Then of course you've got AEW fanboys, "journalists", QT Marshal all LYING their asses off, trying to say that AEW doesn't ship rings outside America, they always use the same size Indie rings for international shows. Except then you look at the ring used for All In LONDON and you can tell they're fucking lying because those are definitely NOT the same size of ring.
Tony Khan was so fucking buthurt that he couldn't get the stadium show he wanted, he couldn't even be bothered to pay enough to see that his wrestlers had a safe ring to work with. It's not like he doesn't have the money to ship a ring to Australia, it's not like he didn't have time (the show was announced as far back as All In). Just sheer fucking laziness, negligence and pettiness.
Of course now Buddy (for saying anything at all, deleted or not) is gonna be lucky to get any more TV time weather his ankle is majorly injured or not.
