Most shit in the CCP are propaganda pieces or their own kind of slop. They have as rare cases of genuinely good flicks like most countries do nowdays.

My bad, I probably should have clarified that towards what I'm describing as potentially top-tier global cinema, political shit from the CCP doesn't count obviously.

Or pointed out that I only meant the rare once-in-a-while or even once-in-a-generation gems from Chinese cinema of course. And I believe I also said "Chinese-language cinema", whose transcending cultural region isn't restricted to the breeding ground of the CCP.
