alright question of the day:
Your being offered 10 Billion dollars to survive in a fictional universe for a year. Here are the rules
  • you will enter as your real-world self no powers, no special abilities, just your knowledge and wits
  • You are given a one week of preptime and 5K, where you can gather any real-world items you can carry in a backpack.
  • If you die, you respawn back in the real world with nothing and recieve nothing as well
The biggest rule however is this
  • you must choose a universe where there is a significant and active danger, No peaceful simulator or farming worlds allowed
  • You dont have to solve the threat just survive through it

What universe do you choose, whats your strategy to survive and can you make it through a year?

I'm going with Pokemon easily, imma survive by living in one of the smaller towns perferably one with a professor and just live out that year with my boys
Where do i spawn in that world? :hm

Even someone with the butt sex rainbow flag + baby murderer flag combo on their bio can only take hanging with commies, Redditers, ****philes posting literal CP, and deranged, single, cat ladies on that cesspool of an app for so long

:hestonpls

I'm guessing it's not actually a medieval game and people are just being dumb? :maybe
Basically, the tweet is referring to another tweet made by someone complaining about the localization of Daybreak II, where a 15 year old girl, god forbid, used internet slang in a setting with.. the internet (and twitch streamers, vtubers, virtual reality, guns, airships, etc)

the same character uses god damn teddy bears as attacks. it's supposed to be goofy and cringe. it's in-character.

there are far worse localization choices to focus on (Elaine's title being changed from Sword Maiden to Beauty Blade, for one)

Wonder what lead them to believe it was medieval to begin with? 🤔
Maybe they just assumed it because it was a JRPG but there are plenty JRPGs that aren't medieval.
