I see we're not even allowed to mention TNA title reigns now, as they went over Mike's titles and neglected to mention the multiple X-Division Titles he's won. Somebody's salty about TNA working with WWE.
Though it seems like we're repeating the same mistake we made with Ricochet as (being he's the surprise entrant here) we're likely speedrunning Speedball into the Canadian vs Canadian match with Kenny Omega.
Way to blow your load too early Tony.
At least Speedball got a video package AND he was a TNA star so he's not completely unknown to American audiences so he actually gets a big reaction here.
Of course Tony Khan has to put some Luchador heel (Hechicero) barely anyone's fucking heard of in the main event because he's an idiot. Like I can only imagine him sitting backstage fucking perplexed as to why the crowd popped for Speedball but didn't react at all to Hechicero.
Maybe saying stuff like this would have helped his movie not flop at the box office instead of the whole "Captain America is not about America" spiel.
From what I see, it's him venting that he feels lonely because he is the only one of his kind who does enjoy killing while the other Viltrumites only see it as a job or duty which is why they fear him not because he is the strongest, but because he is the most unhinged and sadistic which makes him off even compared to them. Not to mention he said that shit because he was acting like a serial killer telling Mark his inner thoughts believing he would therefore never live to speak of it to anyone else, telling him he now wants him dead and is no longer playing around.
Nah he doesn't enjoy killing.
He says he feels like he can do so much more than just killing.
He's venting about the fact that he basically has no purpose, nothing of worth about him to the viltrum empire outside of being Conquest, outside of killing. And even when he gets good at that, he doesnt get any recognition for it, only fear from other viltrumites who see him as unstable and more isolation.
I imagine he enjoys killing and fighting because it's his way of getting his mind off things, riding the adrenaline high of battle to ignore his emotional pain, venting his frustrations with his fists.
As for why Viltrumites could be scared of Conquest... Going by Nolan's monologue in the comics.
The current Viltrumite strategy to conquer planets is by subterfuge, blending into the planets inhabitants and slowly weakening there defenses. And when the full invasion commences. Giving them a choice to do so peacefully.
Nolan himself was born before this strategy was implemented but I imagine that there are probably also viltrumites that were born after.
So while they are conquerors and are willing to use violence, they are willing to not fight if the enemy surrenders. Conquest on the other hand doesn't even allow Mark to surrender.
Conquest was born even before Nolan, even before the initiative to conquer worlds. Iirc he participated in the Viltrumite Purge. Where he killed many Viltrumites.
Living in such a wartorn time where you'd have to be strong or die probably caused him to become more violent and less able to control his impulses, since if he didn't he'd be killed. And then he was part of the initiative to conquer planets before the Scourge Virus, where they didn't use subterfuge and instead only gave the planets the choice to join or be destroyed.
Once the strategy changed to subterfuge due to the Scourge Virus, Conquest probably couldn't adapt unlike Nolan, or was already seen as just a violent weapon.
Of course, younger Viltrumites who were born after that probably wouldn't understand that and just saw him as a violent person, darkening his reputation amongst the much younger Viltrumites. And only being used to conquer planets by force.

Yeah, people think wrestling isn't all that compared to a good punch but completely removing someone's center of gravity is a far huger blow and basically means you are completely fucked.
