It's basically what's happening with the TYBW Anime except even more ridiculous as they are actually working on each individual cour while this the Netflix DMC show, like Castlevania is already most of the way finished.

I see...never knew it worked like that.
With any luck, season 2 will be the end of it then.

It's like I stated, they aren't actually ordering TWO Seasons, they actually just ask for one, cut the number of episodes in half and pretend it's 2 seasons. It's actually both more insidious and more sleazy than it seems.
