OBD Convo Thread #4: never give up, cuz victory goes to those with courage

I mean it's absolutely ridiculous how many factions The Fateless One leads in the end game. The Scholia Arcana. The Travelers. The Warsworn. He's the king of the House of Ballads, and rules over part of the faelands. The only fae with more authority over the Summer Court is the High King in Ysa. The last living member of the House of Sorrows. Takes over Idylla, and basically becomes one of their gods alongside Ethene. Becomes the baron of Gravehall.
 
90% of the world basically belongs to him, and he's God King with few exceptions.

Angry Joe is like "but it doesn't feel like you're changing the world and are being noticed." Bitch, I am literally the commander of nearly every faction in the setting and rule over most lands. And we know Titarion couldn't do a thing if I wanted to conquer Ysa. I have all the most powerful mages and warriors in the world at my service. I command the other half of the Summer Fae, and I am the only one left of the Winter Fae. And now their lands belong to me by default.

Angry Joe is the same dude that cried racism when his little spic ass stopped making angry game reviews and his fans got mad at him for it.

His opinion on video games is all but irrelevant.

It's like he didn't play any of the faction or side quests. There's like two-hundred and more you gotta do. And then basically you are the God Emperor except for a couple tiny pockets of lands. And that's only because you don't feel the need to have any more.

It's not like Skyrim where you can't even become a king, and what factions you take over are dying or just plain tiny. They're not localized to just one country or continent. You're tearing through the whole world, and these factions have sway over every part of it.

Shadow of War is about as long but Talion loses everything in the end because the plot got stupid. The Fateless One is the champ until somebody manages to kill him which will be never unless the gods unite against him or Mitharu steps in.

the shootout in the freight car being such a clusterfuck makes a lot of sense when you realize lions roar so damn loud they can legitimately rupture ear drums and cause disorientation and dizziness.

So you have a bunch of drunken militiamen chilling in a hot ass box with six inch thick iron bars, their vision obscured by a fire and an animal in front of them that can basically stun you with its screeching and it makes sense.

A lot of the people who worked the rails were also (And still are, train guys, miners and fishermen/merchant marine guys and truckers are some of the most superstitious motherfuckers on earth.) extremely superstitious and literally thought the lions were demons.

You mix all that together and its a recipe for total failure.

Also y'know..The Imperial Japanese army that ran roughshod over Russia and China failed to kill a single baby eating bear. For similar reasons about 21 years after the Tsavo case. Hysteria impacts trigger discipline after all :maybe

I literally only play this game still because i wanna turn a fodder Uruk into my strongest warrior.

I do have a immortal poison nigga with like 6 specialties and no fatal weaknesses after buck breaking him like six times, so i doubt it'll happen.

Shadow of War not letting us go full fanfic like Kingdoms of Amalur, and become God King of the world. That was the greatest crime. There should have been some non-canon endings that let you have fun. Just like The Force Unleashed.
