It's just hard to take Egghead seriously when we just got done with Hachinosu arc. And reverie arc.
At this point, I really just want ALL the SHs to fight Vice Admirals. And Luffy to fight Kizaru or Saturn.
Because other than that I don't see what else this particular situation has to offer.

yeah im less looking forward to any fighting besides seeing Kizaru in action and moreso just want more lore bombs. We got Void Century, Shanks ancestry+Gorosei stuff, and Imu and Lily all in one relatively short arc. One more crazy reveal would be what I’m most excited about.
I did find it interesting the Lineage factor can carry on something abstract like emotions. I think this will factor into Kuma’s backstory and Vegapunk’s theory about the true nature of Devil Fruits

Bruh the Reverie Arc isn’t an arc, it’s basically bringing context to why the Gorosei need York.
Lulucia got destroyed thanks to the Mother Flame/changing the planet completely so now York and vegapunk records as an asset is understood more
Yeah the way Vegapunk explained Kuma’s powers in how he’s able to extract electric signals of pain and memories seems to connect to Lineage factors as well. These abstract concepts seem to be able to be externalized and inhereted.

Didn't luffy knock out 50k fodder in FI, didn't Kaidos overwhelming numbers get decimated on wano?
I feel like Oda just picks and chooses when numbers matter most of the time, I guess we'll see how it fares for the Marines.
i was thinking more in terms of marineford when there were armies of more relevant heavy hitter types, WB’s crew, lots of vice admirals etc.
the fodder will always be there so that Conq can be shown off, but it seems to make a difference in serious fights when someone’s outnumbered. Luffy’s last ko against Kaido happened just because of that cp0 guy getting involved and all

A friend of mine told me about a theory he took a glimpse at about how the epicenter could actually be Blackbeard, perhaps getting pissed off after the events at the Pirate Island. We tried to find it but came up short. Imagine BB's sheer anger being 25 yottaton, that'd be fucking insane.
Idk why he’d be pissed though Garp is way more valuable than Colby to the public eye

Thing is, Garp is old and most likely past his prime while Koby's the future, his protege and a rising who's been making a name for himself. To add to that, the Marines managed to come in, fuck shit up and free all the prisoners. The youngsters also showed a pretty worthy display of power, especially Koby who pulled a feat similar to Garp's or probably even more impressive.
I also think Pirate Island has a legacy that's important for Blackbeard, so messing it up is probably another way to piss him off.
That’s not a wide belief. Koby is Sword so they can cut their losses with him, that’s why they let him be given up to blackbeard in the first place
Garp is still the man who caught Roger in the eyes of the people. The loss of Garp is a HUGE hit in Morale
On an optical level, perhaps it helps BB cut his losses to some extent, since his crew still got kinda humiliated by Garp and then also Koby himself who proved to have great potential. That after also allowing Law to bolt, and iirc there's no confirmation he did get steal poneglyph copies.
I could see why Blackbeard would be furious. That said, in a hindsight, global-disaster level of anger might be too far-fetched. But, maybe something else happened off-screen?
He does possess the power to destroy the world via a fruit capable of causing massive earthquakes even at the hands of a dying old dude, whose prime version Blackbeard is bound to surpass(if he hasn't already), that and how it suggested the Lulusia incident may not be related makes me think there's at least a tiny possibility could be a promo for something even scarier. But I understand that until outright stated if at all, It's just hopium sponsorrd by my VS infected mind.
