yeah this chapter was real fun. a lot going on but in a good way, it managed to have enough new exciting things that you don't feel you missed out really

I think Shanks was fully serious here when he knocked Kidd out since a part of Shanks character is that he doesn't like seeing his friends hurt. This is emphisised in chapter 1. So he went straight for the kill on Kidd.
I don't think he used his strongest move obviously, but he did use a Roger tier move on him.if he was fully serious, eustass would had been vaporized
