i think this is obvious to anyone not joking
mihawk has made it clear he’s over the fighting in general

but I loved seeing Buggy pull one over on Mihawk and Croc

and it’s also thematically in line with Oda’s writing

Buggy despite being weak has negotiated a position of power with leverage against two of the stronger characters because he stuck to his dream

The same thing pushing Luffy BB and Shanks forward, and the same thing every other loser Luffy beatdown has lacked

like yeah it’s a funny moment, but I think it tied into the greater scope of the manga really well. The guy that wins is the one who never gives up on themselves. Luffy got knocked out 3 times and came back for Kaido etc. Mihawk and Croc beating Buggy to a pulp isn’t enough to make him give up on that. It rules and is honestly one of my favorite moments post wano

I just meant relative to all the other major players right now really, and I'm with you on Usopp. I've never doubted Usopp ever since he was able to beat a Fishman.

Started with the Fishman, continued with Mr 4/Lazoo and those stupid bombs, cemented in full by dodging Enel’s lightning in transit with a flip and fighting Luffy with impact dials in Waters 7.

Being vaguely confident against Doffy’s weaker fleeing executives like Nami and eating Ulti’s headbutt with only a fractured skull is enough for now Post Skip. Not sure how he’s going to be matching Van Augur given Oda’s chosen to let him cook in the background though. I know it’ll happen, just getting there is the mystery.

Usopp has some potential. Considering powerhouses like Robin, Brooke and Franky are no where near close to unlocking haki but Usopp was able to do.

How is Blackbeard running from Akainu when he has 2 devil fruits and his crew on his side? A fruitless Blackbeard scared Shanks yet he is scared of Akainu & Rayleigh.
