A Padawan Aayla holds her own against a Morgukai warrior. The fight would be interrupted when the warrior's father fired a shot at her, and she deflected it into the others' wrists, allowing her to flee and continue her mission.
Aayla could then contend with a more experienced Quinlan Vos for a short time before falling to his superior Force powers.
Aayla defeats a clone of Bok, a Morgukai warrior, relatively easily despite him getting the drop on her.
Aayla and Quinlan Vos fight through numerous Nikto clones trained by Anzati assassins.
Morgukai warriors were a secret Nikto warrior society with unique weapons and training.

The Morgukai have been renowned, highly skilled killers of Jedi and Sith alike since the Old Republic era.
The red-skinned Kajain'sa'Nikto subspecies famously produced one of the most elite warrior traditions in the galaxy: the "Jedi-killing" cult of the Morgukai. These peerless duelists are among the only non-Force users to repeatedly defeat both Jedi and Sith in melee combat. These Morgukai clones were all bred from Bok and trained in Anzati stealth and assassination techniques.
Aayla can defeat Bok, a classically Morgukai warrior, even though he used his cortosis gauntlets to short-out her lightsaber early in the duel. She had the upper hand while using hand-to-hand and won by Force pushing him into energy beams.
Aayla duels and defeats the deadly bounty hunter Aurra Sing, who's already a famed Jedi killer.
Four thousand years before the birth of Luke Skywalker.
The Beast Rider and Jedi's victory over Queen Amanoa came at a cost. The Freedon Nadd Uprising is just beginning. Meanwhile, Amanoa and Nadd's remains are to be transported and entombed on Dxun. Arca Jeth also describes Iziz as being permeated with the Dark Side of the Force.
Arca Jeth states that Freedon Nadd in his life was a student of the ancient Sith Lords who had learned to focus their energies through their temples, amulets and even their ships. Nadd was previously a student of Naga Sadow before killing him as per Sith tradition.
The Naddists strike back (lol) against Queen Galia's troops and the Jedi in a surprise attack. Arca Jeth suffers an invisible blow within the Force, later stating that while Amanoa and Freedon Nadd may be dead, their Sith magic is very much alive.
King Ommin and Arca Jeth have a conversation. Old man to old man about the whereabouts of the sarcophagus of Freedon Nadd. Jeth senses that the Dark Side weighs upon him like Death itself.
Ommin states that his mind dwells within a dark void and that Freedon Nadd even now is among them.
Freedon Nadd, dead for four hundred years manifests his spirit form from beyond the Chaos. Star Wars' version of Hell. He also states that the is the reason why the Dark Side has filled the Walled City of Iziz even after the death of Queen Amanoa.
Ommin attacks Jeth smothering him in Dark Side energy, capturing him in the process. Nadd tells Ulic Qel-Droma that he has a great destiny ahead of him.
Ulic Qel-Droma faces off against Warb Knull. The leader of the Nadd Uprising. He ends him with one swift attack of his lightsaber. Ulic feeling the aftereffects of the battle feels as if he's falling from a great height.
Ossus, an important Jedi stronghold that has thrived since ancient times and is a center of Jedi learning. Nomi describes Ossus as being permeated with the Force itself.
Nomi begins her instruction under Jedi Master Vodo-Siosk Baas with fellow Padawan Shoaneb Culu. A female Miralukan who sees through the Force. She cannot see as we do. She also constructs her own lightaber in the process.
She is rapidly advancing through her Jedi training around the same time of the Uprising which leads to her and four other Jedi being called to help Arca Jeth and his band of Jedi against the Naddists on Onderon.
Satal and Aleema Keto prowl the streets of Coruscant learning that the Galactic Republic has preserved many Sith artifacts throughout its history. They are cousins who are descendants of Empress Teta who have formed a dark secret society called The Krath.
The Sith as a civilization were outlawed by the Galactic Republic because of their evil practices. Note how we also learn how the Jedi who turned to the Dark Side became the eventual rulers of the Sith, further referencing the Hundred-Year Darkness. A conflict that lasted from 7000 BBY to 6900 BBY.
The war rages on. The Republic sends some of its infantry along with Five Jedi Knights. One of them being Nomi Sunrider, whose Jedi Battle Meditation is being blocked by a strange energy field.
Ulic states that the Dark Side is eating away at their life force through the use of Sith magic, infecting their wills for months until help arrived in the form of fellow Jedi Knights. Dace Diath notably destroys a Sith War droid that he claims he can feel the Dark Side emanating out of from the inside out.
Casualties on both sides pile up as the battle drags on. Together as a team, the Jedi feel stronger than they did apart, but the Dark Presence on the planet has not abated.
Nomi comes into contact with the Dark Presence as the Jedi are gaining ground. That presence was confirmed to be King Ommin.
Satal and Aleema meet King Ommin, who with a gesture beckons Satal with his Dark Side power. He also teaches them how to read Sith manuscript through the use of Sith Amulets.
As Ommin mocks his captive, Arca Jeth, he tells the king that his Jedi Knights have arrived. Seven Jedi taking on a hundred Dark Siders. Ulic and his band can feel his pain as he is being tortured which could be considered as a result of Force Bonds.
Ulic and his band of Jedi face off against King Ommin in a final showdown. As Satal and Aleema retreat, they end up running into the long dead spectre of Freedon Nadd who sends the Ommin to the realm of Chaos.
Freedon Nadd and Queen Amanoa's remains are shipped to Dxun and are stored within a great tomb built to withstand the ravages of time. Meanwhile, Arca Jeth and the Jedi contemplate Nadd's warning that the Dark Lords will rise again.
Exar Kun views the holocron of Vodo Siosk-Baas learning the history of Sith Lords such as Naga Sadow and Freedon Nadd before being called to train with his fellow Jedi by the real Vodo Siosk-Baas.
Aleema Keto shows the royal guards of the Empress Teta system what happens when you encounter Sith Magic.
Aleema incinerates their royal tutor with Sith Magic.
Freedon Nadd's spirit is apparently still on Onderon even after having his body entombed on Dxun. He has a message for Ulic telling him that his destiny is to become a Dark Lord of the Sith.
Nadd also tells Ulic that there is another that is even greater than him with the potential of a Dark Lord. At the same time on Dantooine, Exar Kun spars with Crado and bests him easily in front of their masters and his Cathar mate, Sylvar.
Next up, Exar Kun takes on Sylvar. Their lightsabers clash such so much force that the sounds can be heard for kilometers. In the end, Exar Kun prevails, but before he is able to deal a killing strike to Sylvar, Master Vodo intervenes just in the nick of time.
Now it is time to Exar Kun to put his skills to the test against a real Master. His eventually bests his master, Vodo Siosk-Baas in Jedi combat. After the fight, his master states that something is missing inside the heart of Exar Kun. Exar Kun replies, "Only I know my heart, Master."
Freedon Nadd's ship, which brought him to Onderdon 400 centuries before is being converted into a Jedi Outpost.
Exar Kun arrives on Onderon and meets with Master Arca Jeth, who can sense in the Force that Exar Kun is up to something.
Aleema Keto unleashes her Dark Side magic on the soldiers of the Empress Teta system, altering their perceptions of reality.
Aleema conjuring illusions of creatures thought to be long extinct out of thin air with Sith Magic. Nomi Sunrider can sense they are nothing more than illusions of Dark Side sorcery.
Exar Kun arrives on Dxun and is met with danger on all sides. Not a problem for a Jedi though.
Slicing through Mandalorian steel, Exar Kun invades the tomb of Freedon Nadd with a surprise appearance from the Dark Lord himself, gifting him with the scrolls of his former master, Naga Sadow. The voice of Master Vodo being heard by Exar Kun telling him to turn back is ignored in favor of the voice of a long dead Dark Lord of the Sith.
Realizing that what they see is a Sith illusion, Ulic and Nomi sense the power of the Dark Side intensifying as they draw closer to their enemy. Once Aleema and Satal catch on that they know it is all a trick, they fire up another distraction in the form of battleships. At this point it becomes a battle of wills between Nomi and Aleema.
Ulic is hit by flying slag from a burning Chaos Fighter. Nomi manages to pull out the slag while telling Ulic to hold onto the light and push the dark power away.
Master Odan Urr, the respected spokesman, has presided over the Jedi assemblies for six centuries. A telepathic alien, Odan Urr officiates by contacting the entire company in the Force. If a Jedi wishes to be recognized, he must silently make known his intention. Pondering the past...and the future, Odan Urr waits for the great assemblage to come to order.
Also note how Ulic hasn't totally healed from his injury stating that it was not a natural wound since it was riddled with Sith magic.
Exar Kun arrives on Korriban.
Only to be met with resistance and retaliation by the guardian spirits of the Valley itself created by magic and machine from when the tombs were built. As he presses forward under the protection of Freedon Nadd, he can feel the potency of the tomb getting stronger the closer he gets to his destination.
Deneba. At the great assembly on Mount Meru, Master Odan Urr singles out Ulic Qel-Droma and Nomi Sunrider.
Ulic tells the Jedi that the only way to beat the Krath and the threat of the Sith coming back to the galaxy is by one of the Jedi joining the Krath and learning the secrets of the of the Dark Side from the inside via infiltration.
It takes little effort for Freedon Nadd to trigger the release of cataclysmic energy in this powerful place, shattering the great crystal, annihilating the Jedi spirits trapped within and smashing Exar Kun's bones in a hundred places!
His skeleton shattered, Exar Kun accepts Freedon Nadd's terms and surrenders himself to the Dark Side of the Force.
What kind of healing can come from the Dark Side of the Force? Exar Kun's fractured bones knit, and strength returns...but nothing is as it was before!
Also note how Arca Jeth can sense what is happening all the way from Deneba. At the same time, the Krath attack the Jedi sending down a barrage of life-pods full of war droids that hit the planet's surface with the force of meteors.
Simultaneously, amidst the assemblage, modified servant droids unveil weapons and turn on their Jedi Masters!
Master Arca Jeth displaying formidable strength in the Force against the war droids, he suffers a grave wound protecting his apprentice, Ulic Qel-Droma from a deadly attack. As one man dies, another man has been reborn. His name is Exar Kun.
The Dark Side has made you more than whole...More than you yet know. Such is the power of the Force.
Once you accept it, the Dark Side is with you forever...as it is with these Great Dark Lords of old. This is the last resting place of many of the ancient Lords of the Sith...their bodies preserved by their own powers.
As soon as Exar Kun realizes that after being healed he can read and translate the Sith language, Freedon Nadd tells him to find the resting place of Naga Sadow on Yavin IV to attain even greater power before being further tested by the ancient spirits of the Dark Lords.
One of them, Marka Ragnos, tells Freedon Nadd that he is ready.

Tales of the Jedi: Dark Lords of the Sith - Part 3
Exar Kun arrives on Yavin IV. Freedon Nadd arriving earlier than his new apprentice. He encounters the Massassi, mutated descendants of the ancient Sith having been mutated through the use of Naga Sadow's alchemy. He is then ambushed, captured and taken to the leader of the current generation of Massassi, Zythmnr.
Ossus, the Great Jedi Library. Ulic seeks information on the Empress Teta System so he can learn more about his enemy before he infiltrates their ranks. Nomi tells him that the Council thinks he's making a grave mistake, but Ulic claims that any Jedi that runs away from facing the Dark Side is a coward.
In the midst of the conversation, Odan Urr gives Ulic a glimpse of the life of a former Jedi who turned to the Dark Side believing that it could be conquered from within only to be met with fatal results through a Holocron.
Exar Kun awakens only to find out that he's an unwilling participant in a Massassi blood sacrifice ritual. For all of his attempts to break free with the power of the Light Side, they have all been in vain except when he decides to tap into the Dark Side.
Naga Sadow was a magician of pure Sith blood, who was in rebellion against the Sith rulers, those fallen Jedi who wore the title Dark Lords of the Sith...Freedon Nadd said that Naga Sadow was sentenced to die by the reigning Dark Lord...The magician Sadow and his followers hid on the fourth moon of Yavin, where he practiced his alchemy undisturbed.
This is Yavin Four. This is the realm of Naga Sadow. Now a thing created by Sadow's alchemy has awakened!
Ulic arrives on Cinnagar amidst an execution turned rebellion, not knowing that he's been expected by his targets and his every move is being watched.
Ulic joins the fray saving Aleema in the process, not knowing that this was part of her plan as well.
Exar Kun is forced to fight for his life against the Sithspawn while Nadd urges him to use the Dark Side in order to claim Naga Sadow's Amulet for its new rightful owner and claim his destiny.
With a clash of iron, the amulet clamps itself to his arm. Exar Kun feels his rage multiply a thousand times, then a hundred thousand times. What Exar Kun understands is that the dark rage that fills his own heart can be focused in this amulet, unleashing tremendous energies! Energies that can be turned against the evil of Naga Sadow!
Congratulating his new apprentice, Freedon Nadd tells Kun that soon they will begin working on creating a host vessel for his spirit to reside within once they find the old Sith magician's laboratory. Having had enough of Freedon Nadd's demands, Exar Kun decides to take his life into his own hands and obliterate his spirit with his newfound Dark Side powers.
Before his spirit is extinguished, Nadd urgently sends a message to Satal and Aleema on Cinnagar all the way from Yavin IV to beware not of Ulic Qel-Droma, but of Exar Kun, pretender to the legacy of the Sith Empire and placing his faith in them instead.
Ulic has been tortured and interrogated by the Krath ever since being captured about his true intentions for being on Cinnagar. He states that he is a fallen Jedi wanting to know the ways of the Dark Side. Satal thinks he's here to destroy them and puts him through a test to see where his loyalties lie through the use of Sith poison.
Satal's attack pulls Ulic out of his delirium...and provokes a massive impulse of Force energy that blasts the young Jedi free of the droid's embrace-- But the poison acts quickly!
Meanwhile on Yavin IV, Exar Kun has become the new leader of the Massassi and has ordered them to start building Sith Temples according to the designs that he found reading the ancient manuscripts which will help channel and focus the power of the Dark Side brimming within the planet.
As he searches deeper into the mysteries Yavin IV, he senses something even more ancient deep below the temple where he defeated the giant Sith wyrm. Knowing that Sadow's curse has been lifted, though his magic still lives on, he dives deeper into the bowels of the ancient Sith temple to discover an even greater find. The very same ship that Naga Sadow used to escape his defeat against the forces of Empress Teta and the Republic.
Not being able to sense Ulic in the Force and reach out to him, Nomi decides to infiltrate the Krath herself and locate him while also finding out what he has learned about their enemy.
She reaches out to Ulic in the Force, feeling nothing except the power of the Dark Side from the Iron Citadel. Realizing that may be her best bet to find him, she decides to let herself get captured in order to find her lost friend and fellow Jedi.
Ulic is further tested by Satal Keto by bringing in Nomi Sunrider for questioning.
Ulic feels both Satal and Aleema reaching for his thoughts, trying to discern his feelings for Nomi Sunrider. He dares not flinch or risk destroying everything he has gambled for. To mask his true feelings, he lets his anger come to the fore.
This is a moment of choice for Ulic Qel-Droma. Will he reveal his true intentions now and risk the destruction of both Nomi and himself? Or will he maintain the facade...and depend on Nomi's ability to take care of herself? The choice seems obvious to him...but the accusation in the eyes of Nomi Sunrider will stay with him for the rest of his life.
Yavin Four. Exar Kun has unearthed a trove of Sith alchemical lore left behind by the original group who fled here to the fourth moon of Yavin. Zythmnr, the Massassi priest, has agreed to be the first to receive the ancient empowerment. The legends speak of magical metamorphosis...and alchemy that can make a warrior into a god!
Poor Zythmnr...he wasn't allowed to read Naga Sadow's scrolls. He doesn't know the long dead Sith magician had but one purpose in his alchemy of life... Naga Sadow believed the natural order of the universe belonged to him...with his Sith alchemy he sought to create armies of monstrosities, beasts of war, malformed servants of death. And so does Exar Kun.
Cinnagar. Knowing that Satal is watching his every move, Ulic Qel-Droma can't risk letting his thoughts flow out to Nomi Sunrider. A servant droid that brings food to the prisoners provides a handy means of communication.
Deep in the subterranean Krath dungeons, Nomi Sunrider remains a prisoner...weighed down with dread that she has arrived too late. With great effort, Nomi forms an image of two warriors turning against each other... Like Arkanian dragons, the other Tetans turn upon each other with mortal violence! The rest join in...and Nomi Sunrider walks through the slaughter to freedom! Using her Jedi Battle Meditation to subdue a host of adversaries, Nomi finds secret access to the streets of Cinnagar!
Meanwhile, as the hour for her execution draws near, Ulic prepares to visit the detenton area to make sure Nomi has escaped. If Aleema is working to undermine Ulic's determination, others are intent on his destruction!

The expansion of the Imperial military was exponential. It makes sense that the Imperial military would have expanded at an exponential rate, given that the technology that makes up the World Devastator's primary function of consuming and self-replicating at an exponential rate has existed for a very long time.
In the time since the establishment of the Empire, much has changed. From the superficial to the symbolic to hard reality, the Empire has replaced the Republic in every major aspect of society. Even the name of the galactic capital has been changed, from Coruscant to Imperial Center. Day by day, Imperial power grows. The Empire replaces old bureaucracies with new ones. The Imperial military machine expands exponentially. Republic symbols are destroyed or replaced with Imperial equivalents.
The amount of droids that were used by the CIS in the Clone Wars is not really anything new, and it has been done before. That is, for a very long time before the Clone Wars, quintillions of battle droids had been in production and use in warfare. There's the example of Xim the Despot. He makes extensive use of battle droids in his conquest.
The last years of the Old Republic saw an explosion in many fields of technology. The manipulations of the Sith brought war to every corner of the galaxy, and war often provides excellent opportunities to develop and test new machines, doctrines, and ideas. Although many ideas were not new, properly speaking, they gained new life during this era. (For instance, battle droids had been used for thousands of years, but no one had done so on the scale of the CIS in centuries.)
Juggernaut! lie very name of these rolling giants calls up memories of crushing defeat for the galaxy's quintillions of battle droids and their Separatist masters.
"Xim‘s droids were nearly unstoppable in their day. The warlord was one of the first individuals to perfect mechanized combat, and entire star systems surrendered in the face of his ruthless automated armies."

There are quintillions of engineering pioneers active in the Early Hyperspace Age, or what is known as the Pre-Republic. This means that even before the founding of the Republic, the galactic population must be in the quintillion range or even higher.
"In over 25,000 years since the exploitation of hyperdrive technology finally united the galaxy, the basic attributes of starlight have remained constant. Few now presume to question the quintillions of engineering pioneers active in the Early Hyperspace Age. Artistic expression and raw practicality have long been the sole ideals of vehicle design."
A small thermal detonator had enough firepower within twenty-meters to shatter the transparisteel of a building into thousands of shrapnel. The shrapnel of transparisteel would fly three thousand meters per second.
"He bent down to pick up a small thermal det and rolled it in his hands, seeing the little restaurant opposite the Eyat government building. The minced roba pastry rolls washed down with sweet caf had been delicious; a charge of this size, detonated within twenty meters, would shatter the restaurant’s transparisteel frontage into a thousand blades and send them flying at three thousand meters a second into anything and anybody within a thousand-meter range. Sometimes it paid not to think about it too much."
The Gorgon is an ISD, and it was damaged to the point that its engine could not be pushed to its maximum thrust. It went into the Maw Installation, a cluster of black holes. The Gorgon was able to pass through the barrier of the black holes and was affected by the gravity wells of the black holes. Despite all this, the Gorgon was able to survive. Only a few of its critical components were damaged.
The Gorgon was wounded, unable to proceed at full thrust; but still Daala approached the Maw with all possible speed. She would return to the Installation and protect what remained of it, to the best of her ability. There would be no such thing as surrender. She had a job to do, a duty she had sworn to her superior officer Tarkin. Now Admiral Daala clung to her command chair and kept her eyes open against the blazing swirls from the inferno of trapped gases. The Gorgon plunged through the barrier of black holes and followed a convoluted path. Daala felt her insides tugged as she passed gravity wells so deep they could crush an entire planet to the size of an atom.
The windowports dimmed, but still Daala did not close her emerald eyes. Presumably only she knew the detailed route, but young Kyp Durron had found his way, and she assumed that other Jedi Knights could perform the same feat. Daala heard a system squeal with automatic alarms as some critical component failed. Sparks shot out of one of the sensor stations, and a lieutenant strained against the pull of acceleration to bypass the systems. In his seat Commander Kratas spoke through clenched teeth. "Almost there," he said, his voice barely audible above the racket.
A series of automatic warning signals echoed through the bridge--and suddenly the colors washed away from the front viewport like a blindfold being ripped from her eyes. The Star Destroyer had stumbled into the shielded calm at the center of the cluster.
The Gorgon was able to survive a supernova. It was left with a lot of burn marks and damaged shield plates.
A week ago he had left Luke Skywalker for dead atop the Great Temple on Yavin 4. He had stolen design parameters of the Sun Crusher from the mind of its naive creator, Qwi Xux. And he had blown up five stars to incinerate Admiral Daala and her two Star Destroyers. At the last moment Daala had tried to flee the exploding stars, but to no avail. The shock waves had been intense enough to blank the Sun Crusher's viewscreens even as fire overtook Daala's flagship, the Gorgon.
Since that awesome victory Kyp's obsession had gained momentum, and he had set out on a hyperspeed course toward annihilating the Empire.
------ Battered and blackened, an Imperial Star Destroyer came through the Maw with its weapons already powering up. Its once-white hull was blistered and streaked with burn marks; its shielding plates damaged by an inferno of destruction.
Admiral Daala's flagship, the Gorgon, had returned to Maw Installation.
Star Wars Orbital Bombardment is accurate enough to target only a 67km radius of the given coordinates, while leaving the coordinates (which is the museum district) intact. The following is an orbital bombardment of a large cluster of villages
"The inhabitants of this world refuse to submit to the Emperor's will, Captain Ferob," Thrawn informed him, his voice full of the calm ruthlessness the Captain had come to know so well since heading into the Unknown Regions with Thrawn. "l am providing you with the coordinates of a portion of the major village cluster. Begin bombardments on my mark. I want you to level everything within a seventy-kilometer radius of those coordinates without touching the coordinates themselves. I want that portion of land to remain intact."
"Understood, Grand Admiral," Ferob responded, entering the orders into his datapad. He ejected the data card and handed it to his first officer, who would pass along the orders to the gunners and make sure they were carried out to the letter.
"A question, Captain Ferob?" the Grand Admiral asked through the still open comm channel.
Perceptive as always, Ferob thought. "If I may, sir," he started tentatively. "What's so important about those coordinates?"
"Art, Captain," Thrawn said, a touch of excitement creeping through his command voice. "The coordinates bound the village cluster's museum district."
Satellites have the ability to instantly detect any comm transmission.
It was a very old-fashioned war, on the Korun side. The metal-eating fungi restricted them mostly to simple weapons-usually based on chemical explosives of one kind or another-and living mounts instead of vehicles. They couldn't even use comm units, because the Balawai government had geosynchronous detector satellites in orbit that could pinpoint comm transmissions instantly. The Gorgon is an ISD, and it was damaged to the point that its engine could not be pushed to its maximum thrust. It went into the Maw Installation, a cluster of black holes. The Gorgon was able to pass through the barrier of the black holes and was affected by the gravity wells of the black holes. Despite all this, the Gorgon was able to survive. Only a few of its critical components were damaged.
The Gorgon was wounded, unable to proceed at full thrust; but still Daala approached the Maw with all possible speed. She would return to the Installation and protect what remained of it, to the best of her ability. There would be no such thing as surrender. She had a job to do, a duty she had sworn to her superior officer Tarkin. Now Admiral Daala clung to her command chair and kept her eyes open against the blazing swirls from the inferno of trapped gases. The Gorgon plunged through the barrier of black holes and followed a convoluted path. Daala felt her insides tugged as she passed gravity wells so deep they could crush an entire planet to the size of an atom.
The windowports dimmed, but still Daala did not close her emerald eyes. Presumably only she knew the detailed route, but young Kyp Durron had found his way, and she assumed that other Jedi Knights could perform the same feat. Daala heard a system squeal with automatic alarms as some critical component failed. Sparks shot out of one of the sensor stations, and a lieutenant strained against the pull of acceleration to bypass the systems. In his seat Commander Kratas spoke through clenched teeth. "Almost there," he said, his voice barely audible above the racket.
A series of automatic warning signals echoed through the bridge--and suddenly the colors washed away from the front viewport like a blindfold being ripped from her eyes. The Star Destroyer had stumbled into the shielded calm at the center of the cluster.

A week ago he had left Luke Skywalker for dead atop the Great Temple on Yavin 4. He had stolen design parameters of the Sun Crusher from the mind of its naive creator, Qwi Xux. And he had blown up five stars to incinerate Admiral Daala and her two Star Destroyers. At the last moment Daala had tried to flee the exploding stars, but to no avail. The shock waves had been intense enough to blank the Sun Crusher's viewscreens even as fire overtook Daala's flagship, the Gorgon.
Since that awesome victory Kyp's obsession had gained momentum, and he had set out on a hyperspeed course toward annihilating the Empire.

During the Dark Times, the Empire is not distracted by the ongoing war with the Rebel Alliance, and it can devote its full resources to pursuing and destroying any opposition. Without the battles and skirmishes of the Galactic Civil War to draw away the attention of the Imperial Army and Navy, battalions of stormtroopers march through the streets of every city, and TIE fighters patrol the skies of every world. In no other time period is the Empire stronger or its reach longer, meaning that all heroes face an uphill battle.

Finally, not related to tech but iirc Empire had like 25k star destroyers at its peak, is it only for star destroyers and not including other ships, non Star destroyer ones like Carrack, Strike class, Star dreadnought and so on?

Almost destroying the planet isn't really specific. It could really just refer to BDZ. An ISD could do that to an Earth-sized planet in about a day. There's even the Invisible Hand, which can destroy the crust of an entire planet in a single hour. Considering that both the Mandator and the Bellator are far superior to an ISD or even a modified Providence-class dreadnought like the Invisible Hand. It would be fair to say that they are capable of almost destroying a planet.
The primary purpose of Torpedo Spheres is that they are designed to puncture planetary shields, which are known to be incredibly durable, rendering BDZ completely useless. Even then, a single torpedo sphere can only open a hole several meters across for a few microseconds. That hole is in the planet's shield generators, which some turbolaser batteries would target and fire at. My understanding is that it has never been in use for BDZ.

There's one from Star Wars: Uprising where they only had to refer to ISDs and not to any Star Destroyer class, and it said that it was over the 25K mark.

Well, there's the Star Wars: Imperial Handbook: A Commander's Guide, which had tens of thousands for ISDs only, but it doesn't specify if it's only 25K or if it's below or above that.
To answer your question, yes, it only refers to the ISD class.
