Accepted into the Jedi Order, Aayla grows to become highly skilled with a lightsaber, mastering the Ataru style many years earlier than expected. After overcoming amazing challenges, Aayla's deeds convince the High Council to promote her to Jedi Knight. - The Clone Wars Campaign
A veteran of many battles, Aayla is one of the most skilled Jedi fighters. - The Clone Wars Character Encyclopedia
Aayla was known for the grace and power of her fighting. Her combat prowess meant she was one of the few Jedi left when Yoda and the clone troopers reached the arena at Geonosis. - Fact File 102
Thanks to her proven combat abilities, Aalya became one of a few hundred Jedi employed in emergency situations.
[...]
Having proven herself a valiant and intelligent fighter, Aayla was one of a group of Jedi retained at the Jedi Temple for emergency missions. - Fact File 102
Aayla also attempted to kill Quinlan. The pair engaged in a hard-fought battle, in which Quinlan was sorely tested. - Fact File 98
"Their mental disciplines make them resistant to mind manipulation. They also have weapons and armor with a cortosis alloy of some sort. Makes them resistant to lightsabers." -- Tholme - Rite of Passage
The red-skinned Kajain'sa'Nikto subspecies famously produced one of the most elite warrior traditions in the galaxy: the "Jedi-killing" cult of the Morgukai. These peerless duelists are among the only non-Force users to repeatedly defeat both Jedi and Sith in melee combat. Fortunately for their opponents, the Morgukai's numbers remain few, but their battle tactics are closely guarded secrets. - Star Wars: The Old Republic Encyclopedia
Deneba. From every sector of the galaxy, thousands of Jedi Masters and Jedi Knights converge on the red planet to debate momentous events -
Master Odan Urr, the respected spokesman, has presided over the Jedi assemblies for six centuries. A telepathic alien, Odan Urr officiates by contacting the entire company in the Force. If a Jedi wishes to be recognized, he must silently make known his intention. Pondering the past...and the future, Odan Urr waits for the great assemblage to come to order.
Deneba. At the great assembly on Mount Meru, Master Odan Urr singles out Ulic Qel-Droma and Nomi Sunrider.
It takes little effort for Freedon Nadd to trigger the release of cataclysmic energy in this powerful place, shattering the great crystal, annihilating the Jedi spirits trapped within and smashing Exar Kun's bones in a hundred places!
Exar Kun's profound anguish resonates through the Force, many distant Jedi sense it, but only one Jedi recognizes it as the cry of his own apprentice.
I must try to meditate in the light...Draw its protection around him. Exar Kun...
You're an old fool, Vodo Siosk-Baas... My power is on your apprentice now -- The power of the ancient Sith! ...My power is on you!
What kind of healing can come from the Dark Side of the Force? Exar Kun's fractured bones knit, and strength returns...but nothing is as it was before!
Simultaneously, amidst the assemblage, modified servant droids unveil weapons and turn on their Jedi Masters!
The Dark Side has made you more than whole...More than you yet know. Such is the power of the Force.
Once you accept it, the Dark Side is with you forever...as it is with these Great Dark Lords of old. This is the last resting place of many of the ancient Lords of the Sith...their bodies preserved by their own powers.
Naga Sadow was a magician of pure Sith blood, who was in rebellion against the Sith rulers, those fallen Jedi who wore the title Dark Lords of the Sith...Freedon Nadd said that Naga Sadow was sentenced to die by the reigning Dark Lord...The magician Sadow and his followers hid on the fourth moon of Yavin, where he practiced his alchemy undisturbed.
This is Yavin Four. This is the realm of Naga Sadow. Now a thing created by Sadow's alchemy has awakened!
With a clash of iron, the amulet clamps itself to his arm. Exar Kun feels his rage multiply a thousand times, then a hundred thousand times. What Exar Kun understands is that the dark rage that fills his own heart can be focused in this amulet, unleashing tremendous energies! Energies that can be turned against the evil of Naga Sadow!
Cinnagar...deep beneath the Iron Citadel, where the enemies of the Krath receive their political eduation.
Satal's attack pulls Ulic out of his delirium...and provokes a massive impulse of Force energy that blasts the young Jedi free of the droid's embrace-- But the poison acts quickly!
Ulic feels both Satal and Aleema reaching for his thoughts, trying to discern his feelings for Nomi Sunrider. He dares not flinch or risk destroying everything he has gambled for. To mask his true feelings, he lets his anger come to the fore.
This is a moment of choice for Ulic Qel-Droma. Will he reveal his true intentions now and risk the destruction of both Nomi and himself? Or will he maintain the facade...and depend on Nomi's ability to take care of herself? The choice seems obvious to him...but the accusation in the eyes of Nomi Sunrider will stay with him for the rest of his life.
Yavin Four. Exar Kun has unearthed a trove of Sith alchemical lore left behind by the original group who fled here to the fourth moon of Yavin. Zythmnr, the Massassi priest, has agreed to be the first to receive the ancient empowerment. The legends speak of magical metamorphosis...and alchemy that can make a warrior into a god!
Poor Zythmnr...he wasn't allowed to read Naga Sadow's scrolls. He doesn't know the long dead Sith magician had but one purpose in his alchemy of life... Naga Sadow believed the natural order of the universe belonged to him...with his Sith alchemy he sought to create armies of monstrosities, beasts of war, malformed servants of death. And so does Exar Kun.
Cinnagar. Knowing that Satal is watching his every move, Ulic Qel-Droma can't risk letting his thoughts flow out to Nomi Sunrider. A servant droid that brings food to the prisoners provides a handy means of communication.
A strange vertigo suffuses Ulic's mind...yes...Nomi is self reliant...she will know how to escape...he must go forward with his work...
He sees the desire Aleema feels for him as a means to an end. She is the instrument by which he will conquer the Dark Side!
Deep in the subterranean Krath dungeons, Nomi Sunrider remains a prisoner...weighed down with dread that she has arrived too late. With great effort, Nomi forms an image of two warriors turning against each other... Like Arkanian dragons, the other Tetans turn upon each other with mortal violence! The rest join in...and Nomi Sunrider walks through the slaughter to freedom! Using her Jedi Battle Meditation to subdue a host of adversaries, Nomi finds secret access to the streets of Cinnagar!
Meanwhile, as the hour for her execution draws near, Ulic prepares to visit the detenton area to make sure Nomi has escaped. If Aleema is working to undermine Ulic's determination, others are intent on his destruction!
The ancient Sith were masters of alchemy...They understood how to multiply the chemistry of rage in a man's veins, but the process that has begun in Ulic builds to catastrophic levels...unleashing waves of Dark Side energy in his body and against his friends!
What do you think about First Order military? The expansion of the Imperial military was exponential. It makes sense that the Imperial military would have expanded at an exponential rate, given that the technology that makes up the World Devastator's primary function of consuming and self-replicating at an exponential rate has existed for a very long time.
In the time since the establishment of the Empire, much has changed. From the superficial to the symbolic to hard reality, the Empire has replaced the Republic in every major aspect of society. Even the name of the galactic capital has been changed, from Coruscant to Imperial Center. Day by day, Imperial power grows. The Empire replaces old bureaucracies with new ones. The Imperial military machine expands exponentially. Republic symbols are destroyed or replaced with Imperial equivalents.
The amount of droids that were used by the CIS in the Clone Wars is not really anything new, and it has been done before. That is, for a very long time before the Clone Wars, quintillions of battle droids had been in production and use in warfare. There's the example of Xim the Despot. He makes extensive use of battle droids in his conquest.
The last years of the Old Republic saw an explosion in many fields of technology. The manipulations of the Sith brought war to every corner of the galaxy, and war often provides excellent opportunities to develop and test new machines, doctrines, and ideas. Although many ideas were not new, properly speaking, they gained new life during this era. (For instance, battle droids had been used for thousands of years, but no one had done so on the scale of the CIS in centuries.)
Juggernaut! lie very name of these rolling giants calls up memories of crushing defeat for the galaxy's quintillions of battle droids and their Separatist masters.
"Xim‘s droids were nearly unstoppable in their day. The warlord was one of the first individuals to perfect mechanized combat, and entire star systems surrendered in the face of his ruthless automated armies."
------
"Unfortunately for Xim, the Hutts had recently made a pact with the Nikto, Vodran, and Klatooinian species. The fierce aliens decimated Xim’s war-robot army and vaporized his orbital platforms, ending the dictator’s legendary reign in a single bloodstained day."
There are quintillions of engineering pioneers active in the Early Hyperspace Age, or what is known as the Pre-Republic. This means that even before the founding of the Republic, the galactic population must be in the quintillion range or even higher.
"In over 25,000 years since the exploitation of hyperdrive technology finally united the galaxy, the basic attributes of starlight have remained constant. Few now presume to question the quintillions of engineering pioneers active in the Early Hyperspace Age. Artistic expression and raw practicality have long been the sole ideals of vehicle design."
A small thermal detonator had enough firepower within twenty-meters to shatter the transparisteel of a building into thousands of shrapnel. The shrapnel of transparisteel would fly three thousand meters per second.
"He bent down to pick up a small thermal det and rolled it in his hands, seeing the little restaurant opposite the Eyat government building. The minced roba pastry rolls washed down with sweet caf had been delicious; a charge of this size, detonated within twenty meters, would shatter the restaurant’s transparisteel frontage into a thousand blades and send them flying at three thousand meters a second into anything and anybody within a thousand-meter range. Sometimes it paid not to think about it too much."
The Gorgon is an ISD, and it was damaged to the point that its engine could not be pushed to its maximum thrust. It went into the Maw Installation, a cluster of black holes. The Gorgon was able to pass through the barrier of the black holes and was affected by the gravity wells of the black holes. Despite all this, the Gorgon was able to survive. Only a few of its critical components were damaged.
The Gorgon was wounded, unable to proceed at full thrust; but still Daala approached the Maw with all possible speed. She would return to the Installation and protect what remained of it, to the best of her ability. There would be no such thing as surrender. She had a job to do, a duty she had sworn to her superior officer Tarkin. Now Admiral Daala clung to her command chair and kept her eyes open against the blazing swirls from the inferno of trapped gases. The Gorgon plunged through the barrier of black holes and followed a convoluted path. Daala felt her insides tugged as she passed gravity wells so deep they could crush an entire planet to the size of an atom.
The windowports dimmed, but still Daala did not close her emerald eyes. Presumably only she knew the detailed route, but young Kyp Durron had found his way, and she assumed that other Jedi Knights could perform the same feat. Daala heard a system squeal with automatic alarms as some critical component failed. Sparks shot out of one of the sensor stations, and a lieutenant strained against the pull of acceleration to bypass the systems. In his seat Commander Kratas spoke through clenched teeth. "Almost there," he said, his voice barely audible above the racket.
A series of automatic warning signals echoed through the bridge--and suddenly the colors washed away from the front viewport like a blindfold being ripped from her eyes. The Star Destroyer had stumbled into the shielded calm at the center of the cluster.
The Gorgon was able to survive a supernova. It was left with a lot of burn marks and damaged shield plates.
A week ago he had left Luke Skywalker for dead atop the Great Temple on Yavin 4. He had stolen design parameters of the Sun Crusher from the mind of its naive creator, Qwi Xux. And he had blown up five stars to incinerate Admiral Daala and her two Star Destroyers. At the last moment Daala had tried to flee the exploding stars, but to no avail. The shock waves had been intense enough to blank the Sun Crusher's viewscreens even as fire overtook Daala's flagship, the Gorgon.
Since that awesome victory Kyp's obsession had gained momentum, and he had set out on a hyperspeed course toward annihilating the Empire.
------
Battered and blackened, an Imperial Star Destroyer came through the Maw with its weapons already powering up. Its once-white hull was blistered and streaked with burn marks; its shielding plates damaged by an inferno of destruction.
Admiral Daala's flagship, the Gorgon, had returned to Maw Installation.
Star Wars Orbital Bombardment is accurate enough to target only a 67km radius of the given coordinates, while leaving the coordinates (which is the museum district) intact. The following is an orbital bombardment of a large cluster of villages
"The inhabitants of this world refuse to submit to the Emperor's will, Captain Ferob," Thrawn informed him, his voice full of the calm ruthlessness the Captain had come to know so well since heading into the Unknown Regions with Thrawn. "l am providing you with the coordinates of a portion of the major village cluster. Begin bombardments on my mark. I want you to level everything within a seventy-kilometer radius of those coordinates without touching the coordinates themselves. I want that portion of land to remain intact."
"Understood, Grand Admiral," Ferob responded, entering the orders into his datapad. He ejected the data card and handed it to his first officer, who would pass along the orders to the gunners and make sure they were carried out to the letter.
"A question, Captain Ferob?" the Grand Admiral asked through the still open comm channel.
Perceptive as always, Ferob thought. "If I may, sir," he started tentatively. "What's so important about those coordinates?"
"Art, Captain," Thrawn said, a touch of excitement creeping through his command voice. "The coordinates bound the village cluster's museum district."
Satellites have the ability to instantly detect any comm transmission.
It was a very old-fashioned war, on the Korun side. The metal-eating fungi restricted them mostly to simple weapons-usually based on chemical explosives of one kind or another-and living mounts instead of vehicles. They couldn't even use comm units, because the Balawai government had geosynchronous detector satellites in orbit that could pinpoint comm transmissions instantly. They coordinated their activities through a system of Force communication that was hardly more sophisticated than smoke signals.
Medical technology is so advanced that death from a meteor strike is more likely than death from disease or old age.
"Isn't medicine miraculous today?" Caedus asked. No one answered, of course. It was a rhetorical question. "A being is more likely to die of a meteor strike than of old age or disease."
Little more than a standard week after losing his arm, Caedus was pacing-actually pacing-back and forth across the ward room. With his good arm, he was waving a hypo filled with a special preparation of protocells and neural growth stimulants. His mind was alert, focused, and filled with an energizing optimism that he had not experienced since his days at the Jedi academy on Yavin 4.
"Today's too-onebee droids can replace a blaster-shattered kneecap with an ilinium prosthetic more durable than the original." Caedus stopped next to the only occupied bed in the ward and gestured at the stump of his severed arm, which still showed the white fusing scar where the skin had been closed over the bone. "They could have reattached my natural arm, had I been willing to lie around in one of these for a couple of months."
Caedus intentionally slammed his prosthetic kneecap into the bed frame, rocking it so hard that the occupant-a young sinewy woman with curly brown hair and dark eyes-flinched. He smiled and held the hypo over the bed, easily within her reach:had she been able to move her arms.
"Yes, today's medicine can even rebuild the nerves in a ruptured spinal cord. One little injection-" Caedus looked at the needle, which was nearly as long as his finger, then continued, "well, maybe not so little-is all it takes to start the process."
In the Legacy series, there is an army of dark siders created in secret by Darth Krayt. They are known as Sith Troopers. The number of the army is said to be in the millions.
It is important to note that Darth Krayt does not use every Force user in the galaxy to create his Sith Troopers. He selected only those who were considered powerful in the Force. Thus, the army of Sith Tropers created by Darth Krayt is not average, but each one is powerful, not just cannon fodder.
This means that there is a massive population of potential Force users in the Star Wars galaxy, numbering in the millions or even higher. A reminder that there have been massively devastating events in the past, such as the Yuuzhan Vong War, which resulted in 365 trillion deaths. Not to mention the Galactic Civil War, the Second Galactic Civil War, the Clone Wars, and so on, which would add to the 365 trillion death toll. Despite these deaths, there's still a large population of potentially powerful Force users that Darth Krayt would add to his army of Sith Troopers.
There's also the fact that the Sith Troopers have been enhanced and improved so that not only are they absolutely loyal to Darth Krayt, but they're also able to be attached to Annihilator-class starfighters. These are ships that are capable of breaking through a star destroyer.
A ship like this is nothing new. In fact, there are similar starfighters. They are Shadow Droids, which are simply the brains of highly skilled Imperial pilots put into the starfighter with the use of the dark side.
The Annihilator-class starfighters have been shown to be capable of destroying a battlecruiser with ease.
Here, Annihilator-class starfighters are easily able to destroy AT-ATs and other ground forces.
No idea, I don't read anything from Disney canon. What do you think about First Order military?
How good are they when compared to other legends Warlord factions or other legends factions post GCW?
While the Force does allow for some manipulation of events and perceptions, it does not extend directly manipulating causality. The closest aspect might be of the Force influencing events or the belief in destiny/fate, where certain events are seemingly preordained by the will of the Force. Though this is more about a predetermined course of events.@Papa Nier l have a question: is there any jedi who can manipulate causality?
Have a question regarding star dreadnought ones.A bomb that is just a little bit smaller than the average remote is powerful enough to destroy all life within a radius of 500 meters.
He gave Atin a dubious thumbs-up and took the implosion charges out of his pack. He could improvise most devices, but these were special, guaranteed to create such a high-temperature fireball and shock wave that they would destroy not only everything standing in a half-klick radius, but also every microorganism and virus as well. They were disappointingly small for such massively destructive power, a little smaller than the average remote.
Using thermonuclear weapons is considered useless for destroying a warship. Further context is that these are centrality ships, which are simply a collection of obsolete ships.
The next few days were bedlam, exactly as Whett had expected. The navy appeared at the fringes of the system, close enough to be fully detectable by Renatasian defense sensors.
They even let the local military lob a few primitive thermonuclear weapons at them to demonstrate the utter futility of, resistance. The fleet's shields glowed briefly, restoring energy consumed by the voyage out, and that was that. Almost
The weakest of the Star Wars infantry armor is durable enough to render bullet-throwing weapons, including machine guns, ineffective. They are of no use to any modern army. Their only use is for the shock value of the loud noise they make. There are also an endless variety of projectile weapons to choose from.
These various primitive slugthrower weapons are almost never used by modern armies, due to their ineffectiveness against projectile shielding and even the weakest of modern armor and their tendency to run out of ammunition at awkward moments. They are most often found on primitive settlement planets or in pre-atomic cultures; occasionally a unit of Rebels will find them useful for their shock value (they make extraordinarily loud noises).

Each Assertor-class Dreadnought had enough weaponry to nearly destroy a planet.
Both the dorsal and ventral surfaces are crowded with laser, ion, and turbolaser batteries, providing each vessel of the Assertor class nearly enough firepower to destroy an entire planet.
The crust of an entire planet can be melted in a single hour.
Under the command of the bloodthirsty General Grievous, Invisible Hand has played a key role in many of the Separatist's cyborg's most notorious forays into the Galactic Core. These include the release of the Loedorvian Brain Plague that slew that Republic clone armies and nearly every human in the Weemell Sector. The ship was also used to supervise naval attacks on 26 strategic Loyalist worlds. These included the hour-long orbital bombardment that depopulated and melted the crust of the former city-planet of Humbarine, an ancient founding world of the Republic.
Every single world had a Star Destroyer orbiting.
This is part of what makes the Empire so dangerous; not only does it have Star Destroyers hovering above every world, it also has millions of bureaucrat, nobles, and every ordinary citizens under its thrall. Though many are willing to rebel against the Empire, many more have been driven in the opposite direction and have become as zealous in their defense of the Empire as any stormtrooper.
It would take only a few decades or even years for the Galactic Empire's Imperial Navy to be large and powerful enough to secure every world 24/7, all the time.
Even the excellent pace with which His Majesty is increasing the size of the Imperial Fleet can scarcely hop to provide all-encompassing security should a significant number of planets decide to defy your New Order. We are years--perhaps decades--away from a force vast enough to secure every system and every world simultaneously.
The Empire's military had grown to such a size that even the farthest regions of known space in the galaxy were considered to belong to the Empire.
AN EMPIRE AT ITS PEAK
Another major difference between the Rebellion era and the Dark Times is that during the Rebellion era, the Empire has reached its full power. Its grasp on the galaxy is like iron, and even the most distant reaches of known space have been converted to the New Order. As a result, there are very few safe places to hide from the Empire. Although some spaceports and out-of-the-way worlds might have only a small Imperial presence, there are still Imperial forces on nearby planets, as well as sector task forces jumping from system to system in search of Rebel activity.
If the Galactic Civil War isn't happening. The Empire would be able to put every single world to put entire battalions of stormtroopers marching through the streets of every city and TIEs patrolling the skies of every world.
In a Force Unleashed campaign, the Empire is a monolithic entity whose influence can be felt even in the farthest outposts of the galaxy. The Empire has reached worlds previously inaccessible to the Old Republic; Shmi Skywalker claims that the Republic doesn't exist on Tatooine, but Han Solo and Luke Skywalker have to run from the Empire at Mos Eisley. Where once freedom and egalitarianism reigned, now only oppression and fear hold sway. Stormtroopers are on every corner, the Core Worlds are fortresses of Imperial power, and the intimidating visage of dagger-shaped Star Destroyers stand watch over the space lanes. During the Dark Times, the Empire is not distracted by the ongoing war with the Rebel Alliance, and it can devote its full resources to pursuing and destroying any opposition. Without the battles and skirmishes of the Galactic Civil War to draw away the attention of the Imperial Army and Navy, battalions of stormtroopers march through the streets of every city, and TIE fighters patrol the skies of every world. In no other time period is the Empire stronger or its reach longer, meaning that all heroes face an uphill battle.
...
The military machine starts to extend its reach throughout the galaxy, with Star Destroyers hovering over every major planet. Machines of war, ostensibly there to protect the peace, now roll through the streets of every city from the Core to the Outer Rim. Imperial Moffs replace planetary leaders as the authority on every world, and law enforcement becomes the domain of stormtroopers and officers of the Empire.
Despite its damaged ion engines, an EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate known as the Shadow Raptor survives a black hole. It would only be destroyed if it were to be swallowed by the event horizon, which would be the case in 150 minutes. It is also possible to escape the ship despite close proximity with the black hole.
View attachment 716
BLACK HOLE
Unless the party has already reactivated an ion engine before the event timer reaches 6, the droid leader, TJ-11, announces that the Shadow Raptor is 60 minutes from the black hole's event horizon. (The ship arrives at the event horizon when the event timer reaches 10.) TJ-11 also orders its shuttle be prepped in the aft hangar bay. Any data objectives obtained by the droids, such as astrogation data, encryption codes, or the intelligence datacore, along with the captain and navigator, are moved to TJ-11 's shuttle. (For information on TJ-11, see the TJ-11's Mission Orders sidebar on page 14.)
Have the PCs each make an Average (^ ^) Fear check. Failure by any party member means that the event timer is advanced by 1 while the PCs debate abandoning ship. When the event timer reaches 10, the Shadow Raptor is sucked into a black hole, destroying the ship and anyone still on board.
Have a question regarding star dreadnought ones.
You said that Assertor class can nearly destroy a planet. Is this also the case with other star dreadnoughts like Mandator and Bellator class?
Also, what makes Torpedo Sphere difference then? Seeing it also used for planet bombardment
There's one from Star Wars: Uprising where they only had to refer to ISDs and not to any Star Destroyer class, and it said that it was over the 25K mark. Finally, not related to tech but iirc Empire had like 25k star destroyers at its peak, is it only for star destroyers and not including other ships, non Star destroyer ones like Carrack, Strike class, Star dreadnought and so on?
