It did actually, it ruined the story of Tekken for plenty of people including the people here who loved how Tekken 8 finished the Mishima storyline before that retarded retcon.
It is a terrible decision because it's showing they are refusing to move forward which has been something people have been critiquing since SFIV.

I put out my issues with Darkstalkers and Street Fighter being in the same universe, it's not your idea, it came from Justin Wong seeing something on Capcom's wall and people went with it, it's on fucking Eventhubs for fuck's sake. I didn't call anyone a cock sucker. I said anal fuckers. As in pedantic to detail fuckers. I wasn't calling anyone a homophobic slur. Although by the state of this site lately I wouldnt be surprised that term was accepted.
What started out as genuine amusement at how the conversation was going quickly turned to irritation specifically because I was being mischaracterized. Being "hype" is now running with an idea and finding points that support that....instead of engaging in the thread.

But what really pissed me off was the gaslighting. Saying that Xho didn't have a hate posting agenda towards Capcom when DD was in here as soon as this thread started up and liking every single dumbass thing that DestinyDestroyer had to say that was negative towards Capcom. Before I reminded DD that this was a metathread and not a bashing extravaganza for him.
Why didn't I come to you Masterblack the first few times? Because I handled it? And I don't post enough to know who the mods are.
As well, I stand by my point about the mods and the constant stroking of the top posters egos.
So yeah I got heated after the fact. Wasn't at first. Thought it was all in good jest and my I thought my posts reflected that (as I was agreeing with Xho on points despite Xho wanting to be combative on every single fucking thing that I said).

My dude, all I did was literally state that Darkstalkers and Street Fighter sharing the same universe is a bad idea like OG and stated my reasoning based on UDON's portrayal of the characters which could easily be how they are seen in SF henceforth(or not how they are in Darkstalkers) and your response was to blow the fuck up at me and insinuate I was insulting you somehow despite agreeing with OG as if this was your idea when it wasn't.
I then used examples of how other people including people in this very forum felt about M.Bison's revival and Heihachi's retcon in that yeah, people would be pissed if Darkstalker characters are just supplanted in Street Fighter while you consistently projected, consistently acted like I flamed you when I did nothing of the sort(I acted far more cordial than I have ever been with anyone despite you flaming me consistently) and even brought up crossovers that worked because of actual time management or creating characters not that different from their portrayals in other games(King of Fighters consistently have characters in Fatal Fury in there, even creating a whole ass new timeline to explain why Geese is alive there vs. when he died in Fatal Fury while having a new story explicitly for KoF vs. Fatal Fury's story primarily revolving around Terry and Andy).
