If you're doing this and refuse to bump it down to 20 (I'm going to skin you alive, you should just do $20) you better make damn sure people's conduct is in check and players don't go over the line, throw insults or slurs, potshots, etc.
That's money you'd be investing and it would be a slap in the face if people treat your game like a jungle gym because of the assumption unranked operates the same as ranked.

(I'm not in the position to cover even half the cost financially but I really wish I was.)

We can gauge whether people are capable of playing civilly without egregious or offensive tantrums to see if a cash type prize incenticizes positive behavior and good sportsmanship.
