Transformers feats/discussion

yeah that was the Regeneration One feat, has to easily be in the continental range and is scalable to all the major players in Marvel G1

its beautiful to see
i think i could do a quick mock up of how big the pylon has to be, but i would be assuming those hub worlds are earth sized for reference, is that a reasonable assumption

I think so but if you wanted to be conservative you could maybe use the Moon's size instead. Afaik it's acceptable when a size of a planet isn't known to use Earth's size.

i think i could do both then, just to be safe
not gonna find the energy or whatever, im just curious how big the pylons are, could make for a good range or DC feat

This should scale Megatron's weakened durability to the level of a continent, and when shockwave shoots at Megatron it was at full power.

do you mean from IDW? That's a different timeline/s than Regeneration One, although I think there are other country or continent feats in IDW you can scale to Megatron and Shockwave regardless

pylons.png
i think this is how this is done
the full planet is 350 pixels roughly in diameter
the pylon is 33.53 pixels in diameter (according to my paint.net)
measuring the pylon by earth sized planet=1,222 km
moon sized planet= 322.8 km

I have no clue how strong cybertronian metal is still, but i think its notable that these hub world pylons are strong enough to link entire planets together, and shockwave shears through them in a single blast

Oh I get it hes talking about the times Megatron and Shockwave fought for leadership in the Marvel comics, it was confusing for a moment because you just showed the scans of them fighting in IDW

Speaking of Megatron vs Shockwave, this is actually a pretty impressive feat

Megatron's fusion cannon launches Shockwave, a giant fucking robot, THROUGH Mount Saint Hillary, crashing through the side of the fucking mountain, and sending him flying across Oregon. Mount Saint Hillary is meant to be closest to Portland, so for reference I suppose we could use the distance to the nearest mountain from Portland
This is notable in part because Megatron was impatient in this scene and WAS NOT AT HIS PEAK, still wounded from his battle with the Autobots and being poisoned, so he could be even STRONGER than this

The closest mountain to Portland is Mount Hood, 70 miles (113 km) away, and 90 minutes by car

This implies Megatron had to have blasted Shockwave up through the solid rock of the mountain, and sent him hurtling over 113 kilometers through the sky, to even be near Portland, let alone flying OVER it

lol remember in the cartoon Rodimus threw Galvatron so hard he crash landed on Thrull, a planet in another galaxy
literally unquantifiable but its one of the funniest feats in the series, just
"that's it, fuck you" picks him up and throws him into hyperspace

ah based more comic feats
really, the Magnus/Galvatron volcano eruption is only 27 megatons? would feel like thatd be WAY MORE
edit: oh i see the text says the Power Siphon prevented the volcano doing more damage

But wait, it seems that in this story, due to the actions of Galvatron, during a volcanic eruption, a chain reaction will occur in which the entire continent will be destroyed.

im hoping youve got the scans for that as id like see that
im kind of curious what wacko science the g1 cartoon and comics have going on with the earths core theyre obsessed with the planets core i dont understand why
the cartoon claims the core of the earth is "the most powerful energy source in the galaxy" and they have to stop drilling into it cause it will make the planet explode, and in the comics galvatron taps into its energy to try and build a cannon to destroy unicron
what the fuck kind of power do they think is inside the planets core

Earth Thermal Energy = 4.29984e+30 J (1.027 Zettatons)
Alternate answer = 1e31 J (2.39 Zettatons)
jesus fucking christ thats way more than i expected that to be
nowhere near as much as whatever the comics and cartoon think it is, as galvatron wants to use it against unicron whos a gigantic robot planet bigger than a gas giant, but thats still a lot more than i thought it would be
