I feel like Flower's reasoning is going to slip through the cracks but she was coaching him last game and pointed out that he has a tell where he responds to people saying they're going to sleep with a good night post. It sounds weird but I do think there is something to it, Yoho when scum feels like he needs to say things in thread to maintain a presence and this would be one such example. And I do trust Flower's recollection of him having not done it as town because she had no reason to lie to him in their scum chat last game.

Eh, but if we mislynch it puts us down likely 3 townies before tomorrow. Not sure there was ever a need to duel today. Ultimately losing the duel ability is less of an issue than using it to kill a townie.
