Think he tried testing the waters to see if he could get something going on X and then "remembered" that his behavior is in town range. Poyser's model of X's town play is that he aggressively and badly tunnels people, so I don't buy that he didn't consider this when he pitched the idea he was scum for suspecting Flower.
Not a fan of his angle on Prof either but dunno how familiar Poyser is with his play

Emphasis mine.It comes from thinking you seem to have talked about him a lot without ever really forming a solid conclusion, going back and forth, hedging etc. You seem to be fairly intimately familiar with him, so part of me thinks you feel like you have to talk about him as you'd be expected to because otherwise I don't really see the point of it
