If a player is sincerely distraught e.g. clearly not faking it for pity points or trying to leverage it like Flower, then I think a decent amount of good faith should be exercised. The super-social element to this game is important, being an unrepentant hard nose in this context I think leaves a bad impression on other players who will just be turned off seeing their distressed buddy get told to go eat nails for breakfast because he AtE'd. Especially in the context of a designated game for fucking off and doing silly shit, like for example, getting caught day 1 and getting into a gigantic flaming pissy fit about it.

I think it's especially ironic given how much shit I've gotten (not from you) for being too try-hard myself or whatever in Ranked Games. It's like what are we asking for lmao

I wasn’t trying to prevent you from being able to push me. I tried to downplay it as much as possible to prevent that. You can see the second Ratchet took the angle it may be more town indicative I tried to walk it back and say it would be NAI.

Don’t worry about a pile on anyway lol. I’m contradictingly resilient about that stuff.

Anyway like I told Gram I can only say sorry. I’m not happy I let it seep in either.

I really shouldn’t have allowed myself to be talked into playing when I should have been sitting out is the main crux.

It seems like some people really want to play mafia seriously and some people really don’t so instead of just having one big mafia section we should split it up into 2 different modes with 2 different sets of goals and expectations

The first mode would be “for fun” mafia and the second mode would be called “for glory” mafia

In for fun the people are there to just have a fun time, maybe do some trolling and some ate, etc. some games might contain a little alcohol but think of it like you’re just having a fun time with your friends at a party playing a little mafia

And in for glory it’s all serious mafia players who want high level competition and no nonsense. Think of this as mafia for the purists. We could even do a ranking system where people could compare themselves and compete for who is the best one here

I really think there should be some sort of delineation between the sections cuz otherwise you’ll end up with ppl who have the wrong expectations for their section. This would prevent scrubs joining ranked games and crying about everyone being too serious, or sweats joining a for fun game and complaining that it’s not serious enough

Think most of us “serious” players played this game for Fuji because he really wanted us to btw

Also think most of us don’t really have much problem with not doing so again

Brother he made posts about being upset with mangos reaction to his (again) AtE and then immediately subbed out straight after. I don’t think cynicism is even slightly out of pocket

I’m not holding anything against you anyway, as I said I’ve enjoyed playing with you up until now and we all lose our shit from time to time. I’m more just trying to explain why I was ranting at the time
 
I think we're beating a dead horse.

That being said, I enjoyed playing the game overall and look forward to playing more, learning tips, tricks and the like and I appreciate everyone being patient with me as I blundered some in the beginning.

I just don’t want a stigma associated with me in any way as someone trying to play that way intentionally.

If I try to be one thing it’s to have integrity.

I truly don’t really care about wining and losing like that. Only reason I was even playing through it is just that I didn’t want to disappoint anybody by subbing lol. (Whether it be Fuji who wanted me to play or people who might think I was ducking).

Cult chat is literally me just hoping I would die for 8 cycles lol.
